Trying to do this tops moment and getting the hr with Frazier is about impossible because ynoa can’t throw strikes
the cards from this week's topps now are insane I progressed to silver at the same time I beat the last moment so I added 99 Buster, 98 Bichette and 96 Alvarez to my lineup in the same update
Up to 100k stubs again, trying to figure out what I want to do. Completing the live series collection seems kind of pointless, Mantle would be the only major upgrade I'd get, Sheffield card looks a little better than Longoria. Don't think Biggio or any of the team/division rewards would play unless there are some RP in there.
Do nothing, sit on the topps challenges to boost the other positions. Some other nice monthly cards in the mix. Outside of that just grab your RP and a random starter out of that bunch. I’m sitting on 450k and there’s nothing I want at the moment. I’m 50% done on all Team Affinity stage 3 players and just doing that for the collection, could care less about most of them.
How have you been doing most of these? Just exchanges? I have the feeling there will be stage 4 guys I want and am worried it’ll be one of the teams I have like 5% done. I get bored of showdown after 1 so not really looking to play that non-stop.
Mostly exchanges. I do probably 2 showdowns a week max and the I’m done with it but stage 3 are easy as hell. Doesn’t make it anymore exciting though. other thing I do is run the willie mays map on rookie for all the TA missions for bats and some innings. Also use that for the daily challenges when applicable. Most innings for the pitching I take care of online. I will say that you certainly don’t lost money on the exchanges. Between packs and stubs rewards you easily break even. It’s just a market grind. I try to hit it twice a day. edit: also the fucking moments! I mix those in between. Trying to complete them all and they get you some nice points in between. Regardless just hoping to compete then all slowly. Probably like 75% on all of them.
just played some doofus online who sac bunted every pitch. he even set all baserunners to go for 2nd too so that they take longer to get to 1st. He started 97 burnett and his whole lineup were commons.
Same man, I can’t catch up to 95+ with any luck. At one point I couldn’t touch Hal, then no issues for a solid month against him I had no problem with timing him at all. Now it’s like I’m on muscle relaxers.
Wish there was a way to see what your stats are against a given player I’m certain Larry Walker hits no less than .800 against me
New conquest map out. Takes maybe an hour max. 4 Headliner packs, 3 ballin packs and 19 show packs in there. Free Lucas Giolito 99 in the Shop. Not sure how long that will last. Right now until 5 LS Diamond packs for 15K until 5PM Eastern. Between 5-6 Ducks on the Pond Elite packs, not sure how much Between 6-7 Diamond HL from sets 11-46, not sure who that entails or how much Between 7-8 Beach Ball, not sure how much.
Im sure he's going to be a real fucking treasure to play against every third game or so. His regular and players league cards are both nasty with the off-speed. I'm sure this one will have an insane FB to pair with it.
The ducks on the pond for 10k is easily worth it if you can get that elite round. Chapman is untouchable and Banks mashes every time I've faced him. If not, sit on whoever you get for a few days and probably make close to the 10k back.
I honestly don’t even know who else comes in those packs I literally get the same three fuckers every time. I was figuring elite, get a 99.
Every pitcher you face online throws 100, it’s annoying do they boost the speeds in it or something? 100 on all star online seems way faster than 100 all star offline and I don’t just mean swing lag, the ball feels like it’s coming way faster I’ve been using zone offline to improve at it and directional online so I can actually get some hits. I’d say 50% of my hits are all homers, not sure if that’s normal or not
Just lost 4-3 to a dude who had five hits, four of which were solo shots by Robinson Cano, three on which were on balls
I am completing TA stuff but lost a game I out hit a dude 15-13 last week. I lost by at least 3-5 runs and it was simply because he hit homers. Not salty or bitching, just saying power trumps. Hit more homers and you’re going to win 99% of the time.
Trying to grind out some Event wins and current OF is Brock, Mantle and Davis. It's almost unfair, they get to almost everything. Also the Lou Brock card is vastly underrated. He can hit anything and 99/99 speed steal.
I saw something related to the TA4 coming out, and I've seen a new series of cards that isn't out, while in the market on my PC. I cannot remember what it's called but they are not there any longer. Two other items I dislike, why are there 99 and prestige 99? Just make them like a 99 and all the upgrades a true 99. Second, I fucking hate the cards that are printed landscape but presents vertical. Why? Is it that fucking hard to put a card landscape?
Bought Weiters a few weeks ago and he’s been pretty solid for me. As much as I love pudge I never hit well with his cards so I’ll probably go Kershaw. He was last years Kluber so I’m thinking he’ll be a beast again only now he won’t get rocked because people haven’t faced him every other game.
Yeah it's all low now. Might take a week or so but shit will creep up again. Just an influx of packs with the new inning dropping. I have 10 diamonds and many a gold I'm waiting to sell. If you do want a diamond and have some $$$, buy them now.
TDCD This is the lowest I've ever seen the market all year. If anyone is trying to do exchanges for TA, now is the time. 79's for less than $3500, 78's for less than 3000. You could go lower level and complete an exchange for well under $2500 now. I'd say the average before was like 4-5k and on the high side unless you put in a trillion orders at a low amount of stubs. Also, I've never lost money completing the TAs. Wish I would have gone after them quicker, you can build up the bank roll pretty fast. Pretty much don't sell anything now except low gold or diamond. Even low diamond I'd look at before selling because chances are some of what you are holding was probably selling for a few grand more just yesterday. When I completed the latest conquest today I had like 12 regular packs, 8 ballins, 5-10 headliners and 4 ducks. Possible I completed a TA or two in that, I got all the FOF but innings will trickle in the final two milestones on them.
Yup. I'm consistently in the high 600's but during the last ranked season I got on a hot streak and was over 750 and feeling good about myself. Lost so many in a row after that I ended up back in the high 500's to finish the season
went from 0 to 180 on the indians TA last night to get thome (sick life) took like 3 hours and I ended up about even in terms of stubs, then sold mcgriff for 20k since thome replaces him
I typically paid between 4-5 for mine and never lost any money doing so. Just a matter of patience. If you wanted to speed it up I'd knock a bunch out using 78/79 now.
