GOP voters will be rationalizing the whole situation when they're riding cattle cars to re-education camps.
Destroying is a strong term. When the Cowboys fleeced the Vikings the Vikings didn’t really tailor their play style to his skill set. But yes, Donald Trump cost Herschel 3 years and many touches
This is a tangent, but I was watching an interview with an ex-KGB guy who basically said the same thing. He said (in the 80's) that in a demoralized society, access to real and accurate information will not matter. You can show as much proven data to a person as you want, they won't believe you, or ruminate on an alternate point of view, until it's actually affecting them personally. Pretty fascinating interview.
AOC only being invited by Bernie remains one of the most stupid things from last weeks DNC. Right or wrong, having a lot of GOP publicly supporting Biden last week was a calculated measure against this weeks comedy show of Biden is Bernie on steroids.
honestly the rating for this thing is probably going to grow because so many ppl will be tuning in to see if they top the crazy each successive night imo
Isn’t this always the case though? The incumbent convention usually has lower ratings than the challengers.
I’m sure ratings will be up for the rest of the RNC. I hear tonight Trump is going to announce an executive order creating the Purge.
I know it would only serve to further escalate a bad situation and cause far-right extremists to become even more agitated. However, I still dream of a message being sent to Trump basically saying, “If the election results in a Biden victory and you refuse to leave the White House because you won’t accept it, then every single Trump property across the country is fair game for destruction.” He can’t build walls around all of them.
I can see loyal military members and equipment showing up behind the fences if he loses. It won't be surprising if there's some light military engagement in October.
Is there any reason besides some coal farmers that we shouldn't be 100% green + nuclear/natural gas energy?
Weird...no yelling and screaming about the national debt and deficit at the RNC while a Republican is in office.
the coal lobby is big and powerful. coal/fossil fuels receive 10x more subsidies than renewable energy outlets, and that puts them at a disadvantage. it's funny though since over the last decade or so the cost to run renewable energy has dropped precipitously and is now cheaper than coal/fossil fuels.
After Chernobyl and 3 Mile Island, no politician wanted anything to do with championing nuclear energy. But the other answer is the Votes of like 36 coal miners in Pennsylvania
These are all massive natural gas players, not just oil. I wasn't really referring to gas/diesel as much as power plants
BP is my biggest client and their new corporate directive of going carbon neutral by 2050 is really pushing their competitors to do the same. we manage 3 diff facilities of theirs and each one has gone from about 15% material recycled/reused to about 90% currently.
Right, but I feel like that's saying we shouldn't fly be there was a plane crash. Everything has gotten better, safer, more sophisticated, etc.
