I wouldn’t call the last album trash, but it certainly wasn’t good. Had some good songs, but had some very low quality
well....yeah. But his voice is absurd. Should really just go back to Steeldrivers music. Thats the good shit
I edited my post. I also don't think it's really country. It's more blues/soul which I fuck with heavy. I'm pretty much only on him and Tyler Childers these days. I know you don't care and I'm late on Childers.
Feel free to pass along any of your favorite blues musicians/songs. I've gone down the rabbit hole in the last few months.
Steeldrivers Stapleton is his best version. i really caught some flack for saying he over-sang tennessee whiskey, and i still don't understand why it became so popular for him.
Chicks absolutely love Tennessee whiskey, it’s like audible pheromones for them, that’s just my opinion on why.
Listened to pretty much nothing but him this week. Heroin fucking sucks. It doesn’t care, it doesn’t discriminate, it only ruins lives or takes them far too early.
This is probably the best country album of the year. Dude sounds like Merle and the music is top notch.
Yeah been listening to this the last several days. Kind of remind me of American Aquarium in their early days.
Was very excited when I woke up to see Childers dropped a album. He only sings in 1 song though... ugh
I just want to say that this song fucks me up every time. I’ve been watching the Ken Burns doc and it made me aware that I really need to get to browsing this thread and discover the good contemporary country music. I haven’t listened to much country released post-2010ish other than occasional stops on the radio.
Who do I need to add to my rotation? Currently: Tyler Childers Colter Wall Cody Jinks Jason Isbell Sturgill Simpson Chris Stapleton
Just checked him out on spotify, I had no idea who he is but I already had "I will rise" liked from randomly coming across it. Good looking out.
