At least he is battling through rough innings with out giving up a 10 spot like some of our other starters
All this crying and the Tigers gave up two runs. Vinegar Strokes smeegsgreen Why must you both be so terrible?
Unless someone blows us away with an offer for any of these guys, I would just roll the dice and see what happens the rest of the way.
Norris on the Rays seems like a perfect fit, really. We've seemingly figured out how to use him, and TB invented that model.
That's one way to put it. The other way would be the Tigers know they wouldn't get anything in a Schoop trade so they're planning to keep him. I don't really care if we do much today. If it comes out from someone more reputable than Morosi that we took guys who might have actual value (Norris, Cisnero, Soto) off the table because we were 2 games out of the 8th and final playoff spot in the 15-team American League, I will be annoyed.
Arizona is allegedly shopping Starling Marte because it doesn't want to pay his $12M team option next year and might just take whatever it can get now. I'd make a move there if the price is low enough. We're going to need to add an OF or two this winter, anyway.
brewers fucking suck this year. Fulmer has no command, yet they’re swinging on. 3-0 counts. He threw more balls than strikes that inning, but struck out the side lol.
Not good injury updates in the Free Press article on the team today Nova is about to start throwing off mound Zimmerman is apparently throwing live pitching sessions Really thought both were gone for the year, and forever from this team
I think Nova would pitch out of the pen unless Mize and/or Skubal really struggle and they send them down. Zimmermann is probably getting a couple starts, whether we like it or not. We've got some DHs coming up I could see that happening.
You’re probably right. We can’t make the playoffs this year. It will ruin Avila’s 10 year rebuild plan.
Doesn’t Zimmermann get in trouble after the first time around the lineup? He’s perfect for an opener.
That sounds right from my memory of watching him pitch, you just forgot the part where he is in trouble first time around too...
First time I can think of where they actually have an important decision to make on how to operate the positional field of Candy, Parades, W Castro, Goodrum
I think he's struggled to get through the opening innings as well. He's an equal opportunity gas can.
I think Goodrum and Castro are fighting for the same spot moving forward, and it's a huge win if either of them turn into a decent every day player. Paredes and Candelario just depends on when Torkelson comes up and where they try to play him.
