I'm right there with you... I am forcing a GS into my final three-watch collection. #TeamRisingSun (To be clear, I'll always have a beater Seiko or Casio digital watch even when I am down to three real watches.)
I think it looks super cool with the integrated bracelet and the all-black colorway. It is incredibly durable. The technology and functionality of it are incredible It's completely solar and it syncs to atomic time automatically every night. It's only $200
i know gshocks can be extremely tacky depending on the model, but my solar atomic square has been a reliable friend for many years. when it finally dies, i'm definitely getting another.
I've owned a solar, atomic G-Shock Mudman for 12+ years. It doesn't get the wrist time it deserves, but I love it.
So, I inquired less than a month ago & got a call from my girl at the AD yesterday morning. Swinging by tomorrow to pick it up... so long as I don’t hate it on wrist Spoiler
Such an amazing watch. No other chrono I would consider at that price range. Not sure about your wrists but I may have gone 38mm if I had to do it again.
I'm bitch-wristed, so it would need to be the 38mm. That said, I'm not buying another chrono... I'm merely trying to sell my buddy on buying an El Primero, so we can swap them out.
Hey Jorts if you ever come into range of a strong magnetic field you can take comfort in the fact that you have a real tool watch on your wrist Spoiler
Really a big fan. I think that will be my next big watch purchase if I make another. I love that look.
So I thought I was nuts to pass on the NOMOS deal last week, to purchase my 2nd favorite piece in their catalogue. There is absolutely 0% chance I could have sold purchasing that & the Milgauss. I would have been kicking myself right now.

Farer just put out a new line of GMT watches w/ 24-hour bezels. Big releases from micro brands lately.
Yeah I swooped the shit out of that color once it went live. A little annoyed I already just got the 40mm, but I figure I'll throw the leather straps that come with this watch onto Frost 40mm and that, coupled with the size difference, will make them look different enough.
I'm surprised no one has posted this. I've heard the innovative and stable geniuses at Rolex are going to *gasp* release a stainless steel blue dial Sub and upgrade all models to the 3235.
I love that Z-Blue dial and of course the second hand. That's a great summer watch, even if it's not a white gold Patek worldtimer.
From what I gather, it is strongly rumored to the point that it's just straight up leaked at this point.
Lul honestly that would kind of suck unless there's another identifiable difference between the 2. Hulk supposedly being discontinued too
Ya a buddy texted me about the hulk discontinuation. And agree with those guys being rightfully pissed. Rolex has always sold that watch as being identifiably platinum due to the blue bezel/face. If they put out a steel one that looks identical, they will have shit on the perceived value of the platinum.
They’ve never made a platinum sub. The sub with the blue dial is white gold. They also did this with the Pepsi. It was only white gold, then became available in SS. I’m not sure why anyone expects innovation from Rolex. (Although I think they were one of the first to serially produce bi-color Ceramic dials) They’re the company they are today due to incremental improvement and not changing classic designs. I won’t put myself on the list for the rumoured blue sub because it doesn’t appeal to me. On balance I think the blue Tudor BB58 is more appealing.
All 41mm. I guess slightly tapered lugs. 3235 movement except for the no date which I didn't even include here. The blue is white gold lolllll All the people who wanted to kop can no longer afford it
I like that I can buy a submariner from 20 years ago that's looks almost identical to a new one. However, they could change up the colors a bit more. Not sure why there aren't more options.
At least they stepped up their movements... It's inconceivable that Tudor has been forging the way for the brand on that front.
