Maybe it's just me, but Stagbriar reminds me of a more grown up version of one of the emo pop punk bands I listened to in high school.
Man I apologize for missing whoever originally posted this in https://nervosas.com/ https://open.spotify.com/track/1MuX5Zolh3ocHYXuvUY00r?si=rfjBlGvPR7GmtDvACymrW
Speaking of Shame, the band variety, they pushed their release until 2021. Fuckin sucks they announced the recording was complete in Jan of this year.
Haha. What made it really stand out for me were the brother/sister vocal harmonies throughout, and the cool songwriting. They'll do shit like slightly speed up the tempo in places, which is more of a classical music thing
Yeah, I had a totally different feel and appreciation for it the second time I listened. Open Floor Plan is probably my favorite song on the album. That simple little bass line and the harmonies are so good. I think I like the songs where the female's voice is the lead better too.
That's rad. I minored in Music and took one composition class. It was awesome. Only about 8 people. You could compose shit for instruments you never even played then players would come in and try it
Pretty sure I've seen someone post about Cowboy Junkies in here or some other thread but I'd never listened to them, then I heard this song in the car today and I had to pull over to look up who it was "(You Don't Get To) Do It Again" from their album Ghosts released in March, definitely giving that a listen soon
Full hour long sets from Phoebe and Nathaniel Rateliff at red rocks last night: https://visiblexredrocks.com/
Anyone ever check out Colors Show on YouTube? Some amazing intimate performances on there. Here are few of my favs.
