Saw where republican lawmakers are trying to pass legislation to overturn the governor’s mask mandate in Arkansas. Americans really are the worst and we are a doomed society because of the amount of morons we have here.
its never really busy during non-pandemic times on non-football gamedays we had a few fraternity functions there and it was always a fun spot
Yea as far as i can remember its in the middle of nowhere and we were there during a hurricane. seems like most people stuck to 5 points. But yea im sure its fun if there are people there. Columbia seem to have plenty of good bars and for my Danish ass the prices are amazingly cheap.
These people are quickly climbing my list of most hated people. Asserting their "rights" in the name of conservatism while trampling the rights that are a bedrock of conservatism. I feel like the store employees should be able to shoot them in self-defense/defense-of-others to complete the "muh rights" circle of life.
Spoiler Local health officials are barred from releasing detailed information about new COVID-19 cases in public schools because of privacy rules, a local health official said Thursday. The number of students and school staff who are infected — or whether infections are being transmitted in classrooms ― will no longer be released by health officials, Dr. Raul Pino, the state’s health officer in Orange County, said at a Thursday briefing. That’s a departure from earlier this week when Pino released the number of cases associated with schools as well as the number of students and staff under precautionary quarantine and a list of affected schools.
I see Illinois has high cases today due to a lag in results, but there's a gradual rise there generally.Any particular reason? I thought they had good test and trace there...it's odd that Mass and NY are still low. What's most odd is that deaths have been pretty flat despite 2.5 months of growing cases too.
Today I am proud to be a Floridian and resident of Palm Beach County. The virus is over, we beat it! https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story...y-allowed-enter-phase-2-reopening/5715606002/ "For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began, the bulk of businesses in Palm Beach County will be allowed to reopen after Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday agreed the county could further ease restrictions designed to keep the deadly disease in check. With a stroke of a pen, DeSantis approved the county's multi-step plan that will allow movie theaters, bowling alleys, playhouses and other entertainment centers to reopen on Tuesday. Mayor Dave Kerner estimated that roughly 95% of the businesses in the county would be allowed to be reopen under the plan that is dubbed Phase 2. However, most businesses will still be forced to limit the number of customers they can serve at one time and all will be required to follow social distancing guidelines under the plan that calls for full reopening to be phased in over months. A mask mandate will remain in place. Stores and gyms will be allowed to resume full operations while most other businesses will have to reduce their number of patrons by at least 50%. For restaurants, the big news is that they will be able to serve customers at their bars, which, some say, could increase revenues by as much as 25%. Standalone bars would remain shuttered but DeSantis said plans are afoot that would allow taps to be turned back on soon. “Today is a proud day in many ways for Palm Beach County,” Kerner said.
Maybe opening schools wasn't such a good idea... You know MAYBE just maybe we should listen to scientist and not people in a fucking death cult.
Honestly I'm not sure what numbers we can trust at this point. Americans are just being sacrificed to this thing for no reason.
And it's not right at all. We went from ~600 daily deaths at the beginning of July to ~1,100 by the beginning of August
And cases are stubbornly staying in the 40-45k range. Today is over 50k, and even if you shave 4K or so off Illinois we’ll be at 47k-plus. The plateau was at 20k before it was spiking up in June, so we’re really continuing to suck at this.
I'm so tired of awful humans and dumb people continuously getting to decide the direction of this country without any consequences. They're always fucking wrong.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/ar...aCILmuS1p97nBX-TZdnNFs9yF1RPpdp0_5Cz93-xnIgP8 pperc RonBurgundy what's the vitamin d hater take on this? it seems like a positive result but a small sample and weird methodology.
In Illinois? Just going by Worldometers https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/illinois/ Cases started going up around June 19 from the previous level. Deaths haven’t gone up really, they dropped to July and the 7 day moving average hasn’t really gone up. Just curious on any local insight into it.
Illinois was referenced. The 7 day moving average of deaths has been pretty flat for the period there yes, with a gradual rise in cases. Also interested in why there’s an increase in cases there while the North East is relatively flat case wise.
I have cops come get prescriptions with no masks on so yeah we are truly fucked and we can't say shit unless a patient or customer says something to management if someone has no mask or has it around their neck.
I mean fuck I yell at random people in a store for not wearing a god damn mask. Heard mentality is a thing if you raise a point that someone is bucking. It's like if you're in a line to check into a flight and someone just barges in saying "my flight is in 10 mins" all you have to do is step out and say no fuck you get to the back of the line and wait like everyone else. We knew we'd have to wait to get baggage checked, etc. People back down real quick when confronted in public situations.
I will absolutely shit talk them. I have no problem telling a non-masker to go eat their own shit. If they have a problem then they can come get in my face and get a goddamn taste
Luckily that’s not something I encounter. Hell, I’d say outside mask wearing in crowded areas is 95 percent plus where I live at this point, and most of the violators are dipshit, oblivious teenagers.
We haven’t had any direct confrontations thankfully because I’d stomp a non mask adamant person’s face to mush if my family was confronted. I mean, some person comes willingly spraying a possible virus around my family I’ll make their head pudding.
I’ve thrown rocks at people and pulled a gun on a delivery driver that tried to drive off and have them turn around and give us our order. Edit: I’m a horrible person. I understand this but it’s my shit or them taking it.
