I had to turn the fantasy part off. Bill arguing with Matthew Berry that Bruce Arians isn’t going to put Marquis Goodwin in the slot was just awful. Arians converted Larry Fitzgerald into a slot. GTFO Bill
I'm surprised he is as salty as he is. Brady gave him 6 titles, took paycuts to make sure they could sign other players and he went to a non-rival in another conference. It's not like he went to an AFC East team or the Giants.
Inglorious Basterds is a great pick. That pod was awesome. Also really enjoyed The Wolf of Wall Street, The Town, and Field of Dreams.
Dangerous Minds rewatch is up w/ Shea and Van. Havent seen that movie in at least twenty years. I remember when the Coolio song came out it was easily the most popular song that summer.
Just when i was about to say that Mays' podcast is already better than the Ringer NFL Show, Clark has Bob Sturm and Bryan Curtis on. Idk if that will maintain though. Mays' show is off to a good start
Never listened to the Rewatchables when it started because I had just never seen a lot of those movies, but have started to do more over the last couple months. Shea's love of action movies amuses me, as does his reaction when people say anything bad about them. Recently listened to the two F&F pods, as well as Gladiator.
I just listened to his Den of Thieves Rewatchables and his reaction would make you think it’s the greatest heist movie of all time.
Maybe it’s just me but I don’t like Shea on pods. I think he’s garbage frankly. The rewatchables are at there best when it’s fennesy and Chris giving bill shit. My top 5 would be the firm The Godfather Reheat Old school The town
I think the Bill, Chris and Sean are the best combo too but I don’t kind Shea with the movies he’s does with Bill. Die Hard, Point Break, Fast Series etc. Your 5 are all great. The Godfather was good too.
I only saw Top Gun once a while back and don't remember it that well. Listened to the pod last night. I'm assuming this is about the Mallory stuff?
Yes. There are certain members of this thread frightened of the concept of female sexuality, and that pod was haram
That might be the first time I've ever heard Mallory on anything. I've never listed to any of her pods. I've seen that back and forth in here so I was aware it was coming at some point. I didn't really have a problem with and laughed a bit, but it was also weird and awkward and I don't see an issue if someone thought that bit wasn't all that entertaining.
holy shit at his advice for his son in fantasy football "It's an 8 team league...so you have to prioritize quarterback or getting one of the top 2 tight ends"
Ya the rant on fouls is something I’ve been thinking about while watching lately. People getting to the line so easily is making the game a little annoying to watch.
Am I the only one who thought all those fake Giannis trades were way too pricey and have zero chance of happening? And also, that Russillo is insane for dismissing an offer where he's getting Embiid for Giannis unless the Bucks are at least 75% sure Giannis is staying? I've never been a fan of the Embiid shtick, but the Bucks 100% do that deal if offered unless they basically know Giannis is sticking around.
If Giannis isn’t staying and you can get one of Phillys stars plus Thybulle you do it immediately. the Phoenix deal I didn’t love. Buddy and Bagley
i'm not sure what type of player that Buddy and Bagley offer fetches but Bill thinks its the solution for any star
I think that kind of offer (he threw in some unprotected 1s, which even Sacramento wouldn't do) or the Phoenix thing would be more along the lines of what they'd get in a Giannis deal than Embiid or Bam + every Miami young asset. Unless the team trading for him is getting a commitment from Giannis to do an extension.
That's my thought, as well. I think that's definitely a reasonable ask if you're Milwaukee, but Miami seems like it's in position to just wait that one out.
I do wonder if the concept of a 1 year rental looks more appealing to teams after what happened with Toronto, we finally got to see a best case scenario happen in terms of getting the most of a player for only one season (even if it took a few lucky breaks)
If anything, I would think that makes the concept of keeping him for one more year and trying it out more appealing to the Bucks. Or, at least, it should. That org hasn't won a title since Kareem was going by a different name and Oscar was still in the league. Their chances of winning a title with Giannis next year are better than they'll be at any point of the next 5-7 years if they trade him.
