seriously that picture is incredible The guy clearly just woke up, he is drinking a top of the line tequila (a very frugal 6 oz of tequila) in his gorgeous mansion with a (surely 100$) cigar that is just sitting there for ambiance sake. He is not even smoking it. you want to know what success looks like. That is it right there,
Just watched the 2 series of Black Spot (French, pretty good English dubs). Really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed The 3% but the acting is pretty bad and the voice acting (dubs) are even worse. Story was good.
Alone Season 1 is so different after starting with Season 6. One week and half these pussies are tapped out
It's weird how much I hated that movie. I'm trying to make watching it the punishment for finishing last in my work fantasy league. The positive reviews tell me I'm uneducated, uncultured swine for not understanding its' greatness so there are people who liked it or at least are pretending to like it to seem intelligent.
The reason I asked and just didn’t watch it myself is because it looks like I’ll hate it but the reviews are insane. I saw one reviewer say it’s one of the best horror films he’d ever seen.
I will say there is one section of the movie that was very unsettling that kept me from turning it off but I would not call it a horror at all. Maybe a thriller I guess. Also, as far as reviews go when I watched Friday it had 7.5 on IMDB and is down to a 7.0. I would guess it ends up in the high 6s there.
So it’s an actual horror film? I’ve been trying to determine just what the hell it is and whether it’s worth watching
It was obvious from day 1 he was going to win. I mean the dude lived with monks in snowy mountains that hunted or kept reindeer for like 5 years. He was the perfect candidate for that show
I watched that season first then went back to the beginning. You always have to consider editing but no one but Britt or Dave ever seemed to have his outdoorsy AF prowess. Maybe the woman who weaves all the stuff.
The crazy thing is he (Jordan) said he was somewhat close to tapping at the end and Winoyah might have got him if she hung on a little longer. He did seem clearly the most skilled throughout though Don’t want spoilers but Alan (dude from Georgia) seems like the clear winner to me so far in season 1. This mug is walking around all day eating snails and seaweed and whatever and loving it
Watched it based on nothing but a whim from this thread. Not only was it funny, there was A LOT going in. It also had great development of secondary characters.
Is he the guy who teaches people to teach SERE school who quit the show because he was basically bored? Guy basically had a house with running water in like a day.
Different guy.... Trying to think of the one you're talking about. I want to say it's Brady, but I barely remember him. If you say your reason for quitting is boredom, then I'm less than impressed. The name of the show is ALONE for fucks sake. If you tell the camera you quit because you're bored, it may be true, but you're still quitting, and that's one of the worst reasons to leave. I also hate it when they say "I came out here and accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish" before they leave. Hate it. Folks came out there to win money and win the show period. Fuck off. You're just rationalizing losing to yourself. For what it's worth my season rankings goes: 2, 6, 1, 7, 3, 5, 4
If y'all have Hulu Season 7 is on there and it was my favorite. I've watched seasons 3, 6, and 7. The show seemed much much better in the later seasons vs season 3 so I never bothered to go back and watch 1 and 2. Interesting to see those are 2 of your favorites.
Just got through the first six episodes of the Jordan doc. How the hell has Jordan's golf swing gotten progressively worse over the years?
Season 2 was just the most gutting. I swear the room got dusty when the winner found out they won. Spoiler: 6 and 7 winners discussion It's wild to say this but Roland may have actually been better than Jordan, which is what I think you're getting at in that post. Insanity. The top 3 were all insanely tough in S07.
Spoiler It was pretty crazy watching Roland out there - it seems like he could've just lived out there forever at that point. It was pretty clear early on he was going to win it if he didn't have any injury. Jordan was great but followed up by Roland he looked just like a better than the normal contestant.
Annoyed me that some of the partners were doing it for their brother/father/loved one and went home way earlier than they should have. The Canadian brothers cracked me up though. When one of them said (while arguing) with full Canadian accent "Ohhhh Ted the hero, you're such a hero, Ted" I couldn't stop laughing.
It was a just a nice mix compared to the usual format. Hey let’s do this every 3 or 4 seasons helps keep it fresh.
