Butler OOB call on a clear foul cost them the game, but you can’t lose to a team that is without the MVP for over half the game.
My biggest gripe is the review of jimmy losing the ball. Earlier in the series they reviewed something and ended up calling a foul on us. And they didn’t do it there when jimmy got fouled
That entire 4th quarter we were playing like we were sleep walking Needed that slap in the face to wake these guys up that the job isn’t finished imo
This is actually a different play than the replay reviewed turnover. Heat should have gotten 4 FTs to close out the game. The reality is, that game should have never been in the officials hands. With no Giannis, they should have stepped on the Bucks throats and ended it.
yea I agree. I don’t want to harp on it and I assumed I was wrong after watching some talking heads. Jimmy made a good point and that we didn’t deserve to win and don’t need to go down to one play to decide it he seems pissed, so let’s finish it
How many turnovers have we had where we are just throwing to spots where no one is. They are even steals just careless passes
so now the village idiot has to root for someone else to knockoff the team he is supposedly is a fan of lol
Some thoughts while i have my morning coffee 1) this playoff performance from this group is pretty much forcing Riley to keep this team together. You know he loves trading young talent for superstars and Herro has made himself untouchable. 2) I don’t want to be negative but it was obviously iggy’s length was causing Middleton more issues than crowder and Jimmy’s pure strength on defense....so why didn’t we put DJJ’s 30 foot arms on Middleton? 3) with all the white guys playing for us, trumps gotta be itching to invite us to the White House 4) Bam(23), Robinson(26) Herro(20), and maybe Nunn(25) We could go on a GS/Big 3 type run the next few years
I don’t see a big 3 type run unless a MVP caliber player joins the squad. They have some very good pieces, but nobody that has a MVP ceiling.
I just don’t see how Riley trades for a superstar without including Herro and I don’t see how he’s trading Herro if he keeps playing like this
assuming Bam, Herro and Duncan keep improving their games as they get more experience I don’t see anyone beating us in the East
The league is ever changing. Trae young will keep getting better, the draft will produce the next Zion, players will change teams, etc. this is a strong roster that can definitely make the finals in a down East, but they’d struggle against the west. I’d call them a heavy underdog against the clippers and Lakers, a dog against the rockets, and a slight favorite over the nuggets. also have to remember that KD will be back for the Nets.
And Middleton still went for 23 last night with a lot of crowder guarding him, he seemed to slow down when he had to deal with Iggy’s length. Not seeing how it’s far fetched to think DJJ would have been even more effective in slowing him down given his biggest asset is his length
You put DJJ in instead of Nunn. That puts him in that second unit with guys like Herro, KO etc so there is plenty of offense to go around especially last night Middleton was all they had, I’d sacrifice the offense to have DJJ shut him down
You do what you can to make your team better imo I think there’s one true untouchable on this team- Bam, too young and too good. Jimmy is too due to his cap hit but has been traded before so it’s not like they can’t find a suitor You can trade Herro, but need a hell of a haul in return, and I doubt it’ll happen bc he’s promising at 20. Robinson and Nunn are solid but ultimately pieces to build with or trade. They’re 25/26, close to maxed out. If you told me we could get Beal for those 2 and picks I’d ask where’s a pen
The thing that is a huge plus about Herro, Nunn and Robinson is that they are good, young and very cheap. You add beal and then the impending bam extension and you have a lot of $$$ tied up. I don’t think there is anyway Washington would take that deal with no Herro but you never know lol at looking back and thinking OKC wanting bam, DJJ, Herro etc for Westbrook and then Paul and the haul Minnesota wanted for jimmy
I think the only way Miami adds talent is in like 2010, you get FAs and convince others to take a marginal cut
think history has shown us if we put multiple stars on a team vets will come and willingly take that pay cut to chase rings
