I never meant to cause you any sorrow I never meant to cause you any pain I only wanted to one time to see you laughing I only wanted to see you Laughing in the plastic rain
My geography friend was telling me that ironically microplastics, while undoubtedly harmful to the environment, are actually preventing some of the absolute worst effects of climate change by reflecting sunlight back into the atmosphere.
Just want to let everyone know that it has been cooler today and all my right wing coworkers have declared that this is the evidence that prooves global warming doesn't exist. You may resume your day.
TheChatch you are both an idiot and also a coward. poor baby is upset that someone said his name after he bragged about some shitty sandwich being named after him :(((
I asked him and this was his response, I was misremembering what specifically the material was. Obviously the net effect of that is extremely horrible for the environment, but there is a irony that it also does reflects some sunlight. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_dimming
Yes, part of the stadium naming deal was that Amazon received the team naming rights. They are working on a Prime series based on a kids hockey team which will use the same name as the NHL. Lots of co-branding opportunities which will be first released at Amazon Go stores.

This is the biggest story in energy right now. Last year, Ohio passed a law that is considered the worst energy law of the last 100 years. Turns out speaker of the house was bribed. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinn...y-law-bucks-national-trend-environmental.html Instead of retiring the inefficient, expensive plants, the law pumped a bunch of money into them and gutted renewables and energy efficiency programs. Caused all renewable developers to pull out of Ohio
This is probably the worst heat wave I can remember. It's gonna be 106 where I'm at in L.A tomorrow, and I'm nearish to the coast. It's gonna get up to 110 tomorrow inland. I wouldn't be surprised if Death Valley breaks a record tomorrow. Probably shouldn't complain, at least I don't live in Phoenix.
A few years ago we had a derecho roll through that knocked out power for most of the city. It was during one of the worst and longest heat waves on record in this city. It was one of the most awful weeks of my life if not the worst. It was literally uninhabitable upstairs, thank god I had a basement. 100+ temps on the regular + southern humidity. Stayed in the mid to high 80s even at night.
Inhaling methane gas is dangerous to the rest of the world but here in America when you inhale methane gas you’re inhaling freedom.
Highest temp in LA County history today, 121 in Woodland Hills. We also have fires raging all over the place, it's apocalyptic out there.
