The CDM drops between the CBs when in build-up. This allows the CBs to shift outside and the FBs to shift forward. It defeats a 2-man press. I'm a big fan of it but it does require that you have two CBs that are comfortable with distributing the ball, and the CDM needs to be a runner."

So they made this official. Dest obviously becomes a concern but he seems to have a good relationship with his usynt teammates so I’m not overly concerned. Jono Gonzalez is the only poach I can think of off the top of my head. He’s regressed quite a bit and isn’t better than our top options now but we always need depth.
