If Zverev loses this after being up 2-0 and serving for the championship; I'm not sure he ever recovers.
I think he’ll be ok. He’s only 23. He’s got some confidence issues to work out. But he’s got serious game. Thiem is a tough out no matter what the score is.
Not sure if you like soccer or not but France is currently a complete cluster fuck. Also notice who else had a problem with the bubble at US Open? side note, interested in how they test/implement things there. Back when this shit all kicked off, France was one of the first to say no people in stadiums until sept/oct and people thought it was nuts, but to their credit we were all just feeling this shit out. Their soccer league was cancelled for the year and it was what it was. FF to June, when they had the equivalent of spring training/preseason matches.........with fans in attendance. Long story short I’m no expert, just want to point out other countries in the EU(or previously in) now consider anyone from France high risk. Cases are currently insane there, really interested in seeing how this plays out. Obviously I hope for the best but it’s currently a complete shit show.
Took me 3 paragraphs to say this thanks. Just thought it was ironic they were so aggressive to begin it and now I can turn on a French league game where they are at 20% capacity yet everyone is sitting in the same 3 sections. It’s absolutely surreal.
just finished on DVR and what a match ugly but man that was good drama. Happy for Dominic but you know Zverev will never forget choking that away. Emotional ceremony, you can tell his parents ride him hard.
Bubble in Tennis works for sure. I think key is limiting the amount of extra ppl each player can have. Very well done.
Were ball kids and umps etc all staying at the same hotels etc? I didn't read a lot of details on how they set it up. But I assume literally anyone involved had to be "in the bubble"?
Different hotel then players but yes basically same procedure. Couldn't go out into the city or anything. So more of separate bubbles that all lead to the tennis center. Same for ESPN people Also note the us open doesn't have ball kids as much as ball adults. And that's not unique to this year. It's always like that. Definitely skews older compared the the volunteers at other tournaments even m1000 ones.
That was yesterday but man he is the best. The gif I posted yesterday was from that match I can watch him all day
