I think realistically you need about 2-2,5mln to live a good live for someone between their 30s and 40s. About 800k or something like that to buy a good house in a decent enough area. About 1.5mln to generate about 4% income and maybe a little bit of value accretion to cover inflation somewhat. If you dont have rent/interests/principal 60k p/a gets you pretty far id say
I can’t remember if he posted the pic on social media or it was in some article about him but I distinctly remember Dre Kirkpatrick posting a pic of a fancy new car with the trunk open and the trunk was full of a shit ton of expensive shoes and iirc this was before he played a game A lot of these guys are so reckless with their $$
and you can barely blame them. They all fele in their heart that they are going to rock the league and will never get injured and theyve never seen that kind of money in their life mostly. I think most 20 year guys who get a couple of mln at once will spend a lot of it irresponsibly unless they have someone in their network to teach them that lesson, preferably a former pro who made those mistakes.
I don't think "not touching it" means he's just got it sitting in a savings account. He means he's not spending it. I'm sure he has a good investment guy.
Throwing $13m cash in some safe ETFs and letting it ride should do the job. Assume a 4% annual return, which is $520,000 per year. That’s livable.
1.5/100K is kinda hard to live off of for 40 years. He's been fine for the last 10 years, but when the market goes down eventually he could run into some issues.
My dad coached Joe in high school. Joe held a practice at his old high school this summer and my dad went up and got him to sign it. Been trying to get my dad to have Joe sign it since at Vandy, Oklahoma or Clemson games. Just gave it to him after the NC and said send it to me when it’s signed.
It's always some flat slob. Every time. I think outside of that god awful pitch straight to Melvin Ingram, Burrow did pretty well. So well I have no idea why they rushed that fat idiot kicker out there when 7 seconds was enough time for one more shot into the end zone. Burrow shoulda been given a chance to be the hero. Definitely missed some throws, but I could understand why he was rushing them with how bad that line got owned.
I mean yeah I get it I'd want to watch and see what he did next too, but they should be used to seeing that in practice
Not sure why I just got a team tag alert for this post from 3 years ago but reading back through this thread made me realize that I was an elite poster back on page 5. I wonder how I can recapture that magic
Our fanbase fully expects to lose to the Chiefs and Browns and narrowly miss the playoffs. Plz don’t be mean to us when that happens in two weeks.
Everyone rips on UGA for letting Fields walk but Ohio State letting Burrow walk is way more egregious. Won a Natty, the Heisman, and is a way better NFL QB than Fields.
