Also that Havertz price is not going to make negotiations go any smoother if Dortmund are determined to get what they want for Sancho.
Dortmund are cunts and unlike in the past this year I’m going to enjoy the Bayern Bastards pushing their shit in
Sancho is younger and British, Dortmund know he would be a formidable marketing tool for United alongside Rashford and Greenwood for England.
Right, but United are going to see two comparable players (Havertz is only a year older) going for far less than Dortmund want for Sancho. That Havertz price will absolutely be used as a negotiating point for United in the Sancho deal.
think so. We need a CB more but Upamecano is apparently not realistic till next year. And he’s worth waiting for. Van de Beek, Sancho and Reguilon isn’t a bad window though provided we lock up Upamecano sooner than later.
Which is worse that we aren’t getting Sancho or we aren’t getting rid of any of Pereria, Jones or Rojo
Held out hope but officially accepting that Sancho isn't happening. Sevilla just signed a new left back tho. So it sounds like we now have a free run at Sergio Reguilón.
How long after this disaster of a transfer window before Woodward/United go back to touting being one of the richest clubs in the world? O/u 2 weeks?
First press conference of the new season. He's got two weeks to fix it, doesn't have to be Sancho but this team needs more playmakers...otherwise it's a Europa league team.
It wasn’t a europa league team last year and had some pretty catastrophic injuries.........but yes players need to be added
I'm still not convinced we didn't get massively lucky during the restart to make the CL. Im okay not getting Sancho, but would like to see another defensive midfielder and defender for depth.
I'm not sure how we got lucky? You saw Bruno without Rashford and Pogba, guess we got lucky that are schedule was backload with crap? Donny provides a depth piece we really need and Regullion could be huge as from restart to Europa lose losing Shaw seemed to be biggest issue besides Ole ran everyone into the ground
The problem I see is that we played our best after the restart. Ole settled on a starting 11 and basically ran them into the ground knowing we only had so many games to play. Ole can't do that over a whole season and we haven't reinforced nearly enough to have a healthy rotation. Without additional signings, I would be shocked if we aren't fighting for a CL spot again.
Everything in Spain says that they’re asking for €30M because Untied refuse any buy back/first refusal clause, not in addition.
lots of chatter on Fulham twitter wanting Tony to aim high and go get him, but I assumed he was staying in Rome. If he doesn't go there does he have a place on the roster?
No? It's not up to him tho. United are asking for what they want. Just like Dortmund with Sancho. Just like Real with Reguilón. Sounds like we are probably going to lose him to Spurs now too.
Only the first match but Chong looks pretty good for Bremen first half of the opener. Their best stuff has come with him involved and he played a nice ball to Sargent on 1 of their 2 shots on target
as a reminder we play today vs Luton Town, who finished in the bottom 5 of the championship last year. Playing well recently though. 2pm CT on ESPN+
