It definitely works if there isn't much holding them in place. Also, it may work easiest to tape (and tape the shit out of it) a piece of string so that you don't get the RGB ends + HDMI end stuck in a hole, then once you get the string all the way through, tape it to the HDMI end and fish it back through. That will keep the profile of what you're fishing through smaller. But again, tape the shit out of it to make sure you can lightly tug through tough spots and you don't separate your two pieces.

thanks for the pics. Shouldn't be a problem from here on out to resolve.

^multiple posts above about running HDMI cable through are a solid plan A.

I wonder if the person who ran the component was trying to save on buying a long HDMI cable. About how many feet is the run?

Also, you spoke about multiple rooms/tvs. Is the B&W video happening on all of them?

Also, removing and reinserting component cables is the equivalent of taking a nintendo cartridge out and blowing on it, but it does work.

And also monoprice.com has in-wall rated hdmi cables for a fraction of what his A/V guy was going to charge him.

It's probably about 20-25 feet from the receiver to the projector although I haven't measured.

The B&W video is only happening in the theater. I was able to get everything working fine in the master bed (I guess it was wired separately). Only getting audio in the family room. Similar issue, I believe.

I've tried messing around with the cables enough that I'm pretty sure i've removed and reinserted all of them at least once.

Can you unplug the cables from the theater and take a clear photo of the inputs?

    Same with the cable box?

It looks like there is hdmi in both ends. And minor price will sell you a 50 foot high speed high end hdmi cable for a fraction of the cost of what they are quoting you.

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a complete TV Shuffle. right now i have a 50" in the living room and it's a tad too small. i'm thinking 65" for the living room and moving the 50" into the master. figuring out the mount is going to be a total pain in the ass. Probably going to pay someone to come do it and put the soundbar just underneath it.

Next step is getting a few more Sonos speakers. right now all I have is the soundbar. Of course my AV goals are quite low on the priority list vs. what my wife wants.

i knew you would appreciate that, R. Kelly. it pisses me off every time i turn it on. It worked great in the old house. After spending $10k on furniture in the new house, i think i'm ready to upgrade the TV.

Doesn't make sense why the other TV's wouldn't work. Can literally run a split direct from where your cable enters the house, and feed that into the rooms. Sounds like there's an issue somewhere with the coax outlets in the bedrooms, or there's a loose end somewhere. We had to have cable company run a new line from the pole to our house, as somehow it went bad/died.

On another TV note. I made the mistake of mounting my TV too high, didn't factor in the fact that the mount connected towards the bottom of the TV, not the middle. I want to move it, but I don't want to mess with hanging the thing again. Was a bitch to get a 65" tv hung, so doing it again does not sound fun. But I really want it on more of an eye level than having to look up.

    First world problems.

10 years ago my 52" I bought was big for my living room and literally blew everyone away with picture quality when they first saw it

I just recently upgraded to a 65" LG 4k and feel like I could have gone 75, but that price jump held me back

Going from 42 to 52 in the master bedroom was a big jump,
As was going from 32 to 42 in the 6 year olds room

Got away with only having to buy one new mount

For those scared of mounting idk about other brands but Sanus mounts you can make adjustments on the mount itself after you have it on the wall to get it straight. Was an absolute game changer as I mount a fair amount of TVs for work.

Order 1 of these. 2 if you want to connect another device like roku, xbox, etc.

I set distance at 30ft to give you a little wiggle room above what you quoted. Equivalent quality to the name brand (monoprice), while shipping faster and priced better.

After you fish the cable, let us know if it works.

Closing in a couple weeks and we are having to buy a fridge. Looking to spend 1000-1500, any recommendations or any manufacturers to stay away from? Wanting French doors with water/ice in the door.

We have Frigidaire Gallery collection upstairs and have been waiting for a while to get the same delivered for our basement that we just finished. Haven’t had any complaints with the fridge. Been delayed for a few months due to supply issues due to covid. Supposed to finally come in two weeks.

My Samsung fridge had to have the ice maker replaced twice in 8 months and they couldn't find a tech the 2nd time so they just refunded us for the entire thing. The fridge had already been discontinued at that point. This was 2 years ago.

Wood fire stoves are usually used as a heater instead of an actual stove. Popular in New England instead of a fireplace.

The way that one is incased in brick, you’d be surprised how warm it can keep a house.

Based on the white paint, and the fireplace that looks never used, I’m guessing this house was renovated not long ago. Agree that it looks like a wood fired hibachi grill, that was probably in the kitchen before renovations resulted in a changed layout. It’s been kept as a conversation piece more than anything’s else. The original owner was a Japanese sea captain, who retired to Columbus in the 1920s.

How much does a good universal remote usually cost?

    1 Each Universal Remote Control MX990 $485.00 $485.00
    1 Each Universal RF Extender Kit MRF350 $219.00 $219.00

Just realized I was quoted this for our universal remotes in each of two rooms, each with an associted $300 labor/installation/programming cost.

With tax that's $2200 for two universal remotes. Am I crazy here?

Trying to figure out the best option for our new fridge. The one we have now is old and sticks out too far. Our fridge gap is way too small! It’s only 32”. After enough research, it appears we are kind of screwed out of getting the fridge we wanted.

We want French door with ice maker and dispenser. Unfortunately we can’t find any brand that is 30” and counter depth with any of the bells and whistles we want.

is Beko any good? I’ve never even heard about it but they seem to have the best options for us.

I asked for clarification on the $350 hdmi cable today. He said they're 50 foot cables and I need two of them. I don't think it's more than 25 feet from my TV/receiver in the family room or in the theater.

These are URC remotes. They’re great but an extreme luxury item. The biggest problem with them is that you have to be certified by URC to program them and the software is expensive.

you can get a really nice harmony elite which is still expensive but a fraction of the price.

Have you tried to get a quote from Best Buy’s geek squad?

Don't do that. I don't have that situation, but similarly we went through and picked out a bunch of tech for our new house build and we're doing Sonos in the kitchen and an Arc in our family room, along with some outdoor setup. I was looking through the quote and realized they had a $150 charge on there to essentially download Sonos to our phones and set the app up. I was like yeah you can go ahead and delete that.

There are plenty of great universal remotes out there that you can do yourself. If you're technologically coherent enough to post on a message board, you can set up a universal remote, even if you're an OSU fan
