They’re cutting the rough back tonight a bit and then letting it go the rest of the weekend. Also a small chance (25%) of a shower Thursday, but should be dry the rest of the week. Get your birdies in on Thursday.
I see now that it's his coach holding a club, but at first glance I thought his club was 10 feet long.
Shot a 79 today at a course called river wilds. It’s in the middle of nowhere. It was from their tips but 1 and Ty Webb would have me mention that it’s only 6500 from thee tips so it doesn’t count.
I haven’t seen confirmation, but pretty sure it’s bent fairways and rough, with rye sprinkled into the rough to make it denser.
This is a good read. Players are really going to have to plan their strategy for each hole starting at the green backwards.
Crazy hypothetical....but what if a really tall man made it to the Tour? Would his driver not be longer than 48 inches?
I know the world is littered with almost hole in ones but after hanging one on the lip at Sweetens I did this from 180 at Shoal Creek today. Caddie thinks I hit the stick then hit the side of the cup. Finished like 4 feet away.
Member guest is this weekend. Weather is looking perfect with a high of 80 and the storm is heading east of us
I'd love to shoot in the 70s the way I'm hitting the ball right now! How'd you like that course? I've never gone up there.
Ended up going back to the pga superstore and traded in my CBX 52° for a vokey. Just didn’t like the way it felt in my hands, plus I was hitting it fat way too often
Looking like 79 and partially cloudy tomorrow, and then mid 60s and somewhat breezy for the rest. No rain.
Got my new set of cbx-2s in yesterday. Really like them. Also, what will having too little loft on my driver do?
higher loft will usually spin a bit more so if you want your drivers to grip even a little you should do the higher loft but usually your driver should just get distance
Along with what was just said, you can mix up your shaft combo with the head as well; if you have a higher lofted driver and it’s spinning too much, you can go with a low spin/low launch shaft and should see a difference (or vice versa)
This is a pretty spot on tweet. WF with no wind and these conditions would be a bear. This particular breeze is going to be a cherry on top.
I created a thread for the event! https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/120th-u-s-open-championship-thread.180620/
Aside from the typical top players in the world the players I like are Xander Finau Berger Scott Reed Everyone is going to miss fairways and have to scramble for pars and those guys all strong there. Of the top players I'll take Rahm
It’s worth playing once, not as nice as I had expected. I’m glad I played it with a regular a couple for like 3/4 holes I’d have played them wrong. Some weird tee boxes(one next to a utility shed). I’d play it again if invited, but not like hey I need a tee time for tomorrow, I’ll just book there.
