I think you’re overthinking things here, for the most part republicans fall into 2 groups, one that wants to pay little to no taxes and a group who hate people who are not like them. All the other stuff are excuses and justifications that allow them to hide behind a noble cause. This is the reason why all the Qanon shit plays well with them, it allows them to mask their support for concentration camps as the noble cause of stopping child trafficking.
So, his argument is that CNN selectively edited what he actually said, distorting the meaning of what he said, which caused irreparable harm to his reputation. The omitted part of the video CNN aired had him saying in front of the senate, “The only thing that would make a quid pro quo unlawful is if the quo were somehow illegal.” What he claims CNN did was selectively edit to only show what he said following that where he said, “Every public official that I know believes that his election is in the public interest and, mostly you are right, your election is in the public interest, and if a president does something which he believes will help him get elected in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment.” He claims that Tapper and Blitzer showed the full clip before CNN decided to air the shorter clip. He then argues the comments of three people on CNN distorted his argument to be that the president could do anything he thought was in the interest of his election, including something illegal. He claims the full clip proves this an inaccurate argument and that the choice to air the shorter clip was done to cast him as a constitutional and criminal lawyer who had lost his mind. And that is what has harmed his reputation as a renowned constitutional and criminal lawyer.
It doesn't matter. That district is rural east and middle TN. Desjarlis will keep getting elected as long as he runs even though he is a top 5 woat congressman.
Trump: "I hate what you just did" (still can't get over him saying I love what you just did last night after the woman took her mask off to speak.)
Asian nations wearing masks from day 1. On conspiracy Facebook timelines, we're still discussing whether they can harm us.
edit: quoted wrong post \ RE: denial Conservatives controlling history books? Not really sure, there's really no excuse
I think my TN private school had 2 as well, but I remember at least one vividly. His stories were horrifying
I believe that this committee is +1 republican senator so any action needs Romney’s blessing or a Democrat to come and join the Republicans. So if Romney is against they are very limited in what they can do.
So now we have some data about how long it takes Fox News propaganda to rot brains. That’s cool at least.
This is definitely the case. People yell that the presidents of these schools are making political decisions, but actually they are just proceeding normally while Trump inserts himself into every potential issue in the country. I miss when presidents focused on things that mattered instead of starting culture wars.
I really enjoy living in a country where almost half the people in it would be cool with me and anyone who looks like me being executed for no fucking reason at all. Hate this shit
