I used mostly MyFitnessPal but haven’t used any in a while. It was aggravating that they make you pay to have net carbs a display option for the day though. Think I played with Carb Manager and Total Keto Diet as well but can’t remember enough about them now. I believe a few times I created some meals or recipes in one of the others to get the better breakdown the free versions provide then I input them into MFP if it was something I would make and log regularly. Not really sure why I didn’t just use one of the others full time.
I just went for the 2 extra carbs in mission carb balance wheat. Better than a big piece of cheese. To me, anyway.
I’m gonna take the Parmesan one and wrap up a bunch of pepperoni and Italian meats with some olive tapenade
Combining these into one wrap/roll is the ticket. These are a brisket one. Omelette one. Stand up taco. Have everything else ready to build the wrap. Microwave the folio per the package. Then you have about 30 seconds to roll or fold into the wrap with everything else before it hardens. For the taco I let it harden/form, then filled it. The folio may take longer than the directions until it’s crispy depending on the plate you use and how you like it. I let it brown some.
I’m out, fellas. For now, anyway. It’s been tough to keep up with lately. I think it has served it’s purpose for me and it’s time to move on to a more sustainable long term diet. For some it may be. Not so much for me. Good luck to everyone.
Not sure yet. Taking a break for a few days and going to regroup after some research. What I’m thinking is avoiding added sugar and most carbs, but adding back fresh fruit, some whole grains, and things like nuts that are higher in net carbs. Leaning out some fat. Still going to shoot for a significant calorie deficit for now until I reach my goal and develop better habits. One other part is that I want to be able to recover more quickly from worse choices. Keto is tough in that regard.
Thanks to whoever recommended the Lou malnatis crustless pizza. Also found some quest ones but have yet to try. Also fuck the guy who recommended the rebel ice cream. Not because they sucks, but because they’re good and I eat a pint a day.
Trying keto again. Last time was rushed and not well planned. Lost some weight but didn't really look into smart food alternatives and fell of the wagon hard on vacation. Shopped for what I want and down 9 pounds in early stages. Feel like I can push through this time.
Down 15 lbs since starting about a month ago. i use the test strips occasionally when i'm bored. There's almost always trace amounts of ketomine in my system so i guess that means i'm following the rules. I can't get myself to count macros, so I just count my carbs in my head and try to get more fiber/fat. The constipation the first few weeks subsided. Now i just constantly crave salads with ranch, eggs, and Rebel ice cream. Those and the quest pizzas definitely save me from cheating. Also i have a quest bar right before i get my kids from daycare and it helps me avoid eating up their seconds.
I’m back on in short order. I’ve added maybe 10lbs back since I stopped for the summer but I feel “fluffier” than that.
Made it through a football weekend and didn't gain weight. Went to a small gathering to watch the game with my favorite chips and salsa and didnt eat any chips. Bought an app to count macros. Taking anything high carb to the local food pantry today. Really feel good about seeing it through as I haven't had candy in a week (which is huge given my sweet tooth) and don't miss it.
Been back on for a week, dropped 10 lbs of water weight in first 48 hours, tmhave not lost any since. I’m going for two weeks then transitioning to more of a paleo with clean carbs. Working out on keto is miserable for me
I've had two of my worst workouts ever last week, which was week one but yesterday was one of my best.
First few weeks on Keto workouts were kind of more challenging, but now I'm consistently having the best workouts of my life.
Do you guys count regular carbs or net carbs? I've seen both but have no clue how to stay low on regular carbs.
https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/net-carbs#TOC_TITLE_HDR_8 Depends on if its natural or processed food.
Good info but yeah try not to drink. Net carbs or not I’ve found it made me stall. Even a few low carb beers, bourbon, etc.... could just be my body but it would fuck me up when I attempted to integrate. When I was on I pretty much determined every other weekend or less often. The less I did the more weight I lost.
I had drinks (Mich Ultra and bourbon with sugar free ginger beer) and i think you are right. I didn't gain but I did stall. Just sucks living in a town where drinking is pretty much everything. I'll figure it out.
Back in the game boys first order of business, <1g carb seltzer’s for this weekend. Only 80 calories per https://crookandmarker.com/?gclid=C...TEZATelPpGWH-rkkvg_fj4-ON9Hk7uOhoCZIIQAvD_BwE
Yeah I was going to use my food scale and try to keep on track but lol at that shit. I can’t measure out Ragin Cajun fried turkey.
I haven’t followed this closely. But besides some peanut butter protein balls, what do people snack on? I stick to almonds, pistachios, and jerky... but I’m getting bored of the jerky
well ive gained to much weight so hello again peanuts, almonds, and pistachios are pretty high in carbs so i go walnuts and pecans mostly. other than that...pickles, cheese, boiled eggs, pork rinds, flax seed crackers, and my favorite: seaweed
Both of these are awesome https://www.superfat.com/collections/keto-nut-butters/products/superfat-cacao-coconut-6-2oz-pouch https://www.ratiofood.com/products/toasted-almond-crunchy-bar/
I’m trying to get back on the wagon. I’m easing back in by replacing some meals and snacks with keto-friendly stuff. Still don’t think I want to do real keto long term, but I need to focus on cutting out the majority of empty carbs. When I stopped I went hard the other direction, telling myself that I’d get a full load of the bad (read: good) shit this week then back on a diet, so I can eat garbage ever meal and snack because this is the end. And then I repeated it over and over.
Back on the keto wagon for a couple months now. 0 cheat meals, going well. Biggest thing for me was cutting the alcohol I was drinking cold turkey. Like 2500 cals of liquor 3-4 times a week but its been pretty easy. I've discovered Chaffles.
This is where I am, especially in relation to empty carbs. Cutting out all bread, rice, noodles and booze and minimal dairy. Not Keto from the perspective of the volume of vegetables being consumed but definitely not high in net carbs or anything.
I've had some vodka here and there, but have decided it's just not worth it as it slows down my progress on the scale.
