Am I the only one that’s going to wait 6-12 months before upgrading either of my consoles? I just don’t see much of a point without must have games on the systems. When HZD, GOW, Halo, etc land is probably when I’ll pull the trigger. I’m just curious if that ends up being a wider likelihood than in generations past.
I really wanted one just to get it out of the way but with CDPROJEKTRED saying the next gen graphics update for Cyberpunk isn’t coming out until next year tbh I really don’t NEED one but I’m a child and I want it now
I already bought NBA2K21 Kobe addition because it allows you to play on PS4 and PS5. I'm mostly excited for less loading times.
I’m waiting too. Like you said without any of the big games being released I see no reason to rush to get it.
90% of my game play is 2k and they have a new ps5 version for day 1. My whole team is swapping over day 1. Thats the only reason I needed one right away.
Yeah, I also think I read that Microsoft has a much larger production capacity for consoles. Be more available than Sony has out the gate. Not sure how true that is though
I plan on also getting the Xbox Series S at launch because right now I have the money to spend, so why wait? Still not sure what game to pick up at launch. Even thou it’s probably a waste to do, I’ll get Assassins Creed for the PS5 and maybe Demon Souls. Help me kill time for the proper CyberPunk next gen release.
This was an even bigger shitshow. Most went from coming soon to sold out immediately and amazon didn’t even bother updating.
Im just gonna tell myself I’m glad I’m waiting a couple months before buying one. I’m just gonna keep telling myself I’m glad I’m waiting a couple months before buying one
not at the Sam's club near me. Only problem is my wife has the password to the online portal (and her email is used for login) and isn't responding.
Sounds like walmart is the one that screwed this up so bad, right? Other than Sony not announcing preorder date in the show, they don't seem to be the one at fault
They are the ones that put it up first. From what I've read they had it up damn near immediately after the show ended.
This is me. I don't NEED one at launch, as I have other things I can play, but I really want one, lol.
Depends on where you live. Would be impossible for me to get two bottles. Also, more PS5 will be along shortly. Samuel might not get made again or at least for a long time.
At my last job, my boss knew I liked craft beer, so he'd pull me out of work and we'd drive around to the liquor/beer stores around town buying up the limited release beers (he brought me so he could get 2 instead of 1). I got a free 6 pack of random beers every few weeks when we'd go.
Oh, I like bourbon too. But living where I live it just isn't happening at all. Our state gets jack shit at anything we get never even makes it to retail.
If anyone is able to get one (digital only preferably) but doesn't really need it let me know. My gf and I are splitting up and she's taking the PS4 so as of tomorrow I'll be completely system less. I don't know how I'll continue to survive quarantine without games. Edit - my plan was to use the next couple of months to detox because I play entirely too much these days but I'd still like to get a PS5 sooner than later. That seems reasonably healthy to me haha.
It's pretty amazing the hysteria on this on brand alone. Like we barely have any software and people have lost their minds on this presale as if this is the only supply that will ever happen. Granted who knows when inventory will catch up but still I'm not really feeling the urgency, personally, other than just wanting one to have one.
For me it's all about the games I play not running better. PS4 is getting long in the tooth. It runs most games like shit. I am ready for higher frames and faster loading.
- Just got back from GameStop. - In their infinite wisdom, they only did pre-orders through their website and didn’t allocate any for in-store pre-orders. - Can’t believe I worked for such a shit company for 3 years
My store took pre orders for them. I know a lot of stores did. But I'm half expecting them to get cancelled.
Yea and don't get me wrong I want one and will ultimately get one it's just a crazy presale hysteria I marvel at.
- It was much smoother for PS4 pre-order and launch date. I was assistant manager at the time. - Once the pre-order announced, we would get a daily email from our district manager about the number allocations for each store. So we knew when we couldn’t take anymore pre-orders for the day or week. - It also helped that my store manager at the time called me up there to pre-order when it was first available (was my day off).
so will i be able to buy like ps4 games digitally for the ps5 want to catch up on all the games i missed last gen
