Seems like the positivity rates for college players is higher than the general public, so I'm not sure I buy it. Certainly 2 teams playing football isn't as bad as 20,000 people in a stadium together, so I suppose it's a matter of scale.
I think he’s also thinking of people having a watch party or something. 10-20 people that very likely aren’t being testing in close quarters indoors vs football players being tested daily (is it daily now?)
If all of the rednecks that went to the race in Bristol aren’t linked to an outbreak, I’m hopeful that we see the same for football games. https://www.google.com/amp/s/herald...7730b5d1-c035-5ca2-a7b1-305769d83e12.amp.html
our players were told to return by 9/20 and then they have to quarantine. not sure how any team could start practicing next week...
My MAC sources are saying prepare for MACtion might have a complete 6 game schedule of Wednesday and Friday night games if ESPN will give us more money
In a world where spots are different sizes and colors, I didnt think I needed a map to show that big was worse than small and red is worse than yellow, but hopefully this explanation helps.
I think he means there is no legend. It’s all relative. Big vs small could be 5000 to 500 or 500 to 50. It really doesn’t tell you anything but cities in relation to each other. Not a good data viz
Lol ok. I just thought adults could figure it out. It looks very self explanatory, but thats on me for overestimating people.
I mean I’m not even saying you’re wrong here, but I don’t know how you can look at that map and make this statement. It’s literally all relative
Bro that’s a map made for children. Based on the scale, we have no idea what big and red means. It’s entirely up to the judgment of the researcher what “bad” is. Like does big and red means 10,000 cases or 10? Is small and green 1000 or 1 It’s data viz 101. Not attacking you, just sayin Edit: nvm Goose said it
If you see a map that says outbreak rate in Big 10 cities in the last 7 days and don't get what giant and bigger red circles in comparison so smaller yellow circles mean, I honestly don't know what to tell you. This may be over a childs head, but not most adults at a functional understanding of almost anything. Its been explained by a number of people. Can we move on?
I’d bet that at least 90% of people who would attend a nascar race during covid are also people who will absolutely not get tested, even if they get sick.
Imagine calling yourself a leader and then allowing mouth breathing morons to bully into doing the wrong thing. Pathetic Let me listen to some asshole who doesn't know dick about dick over actual medical professionals. This timeline sucks, at least if we got exterminated by Aliens I'd get to see some cool shit before they rightfully cleansed the planet.
pretty obvious, but the smaller schools are not equipped to handle this (and they probably don't take it as serious).
Considering Kent State students single handedly put Portage county into the red on DeWines Covid rankings I wouldn’t count on them either. Also they suck so there’s that.
