As I’ve gotten older, I've started looking at things differently. These kids don't owe the schools shit. If they've shown enough to lock up a top draft spot, I don't blame them at all for sitting out until they get paid. Risking injury while getting nothing in return is dumb. If the schools want to stick not paying them at all, mote kids should do this. Their temamates won't blame them either bc they get it. Do NFL teammates get mad when someone holds out? No, foe the most part they tell their teammates to get their money.
Pay attention. I don’t think he owes the school anything. Yes, if the guy does not have a reason for opting out (young kids, immune compromised family member etc), the NFL guys absolutely hold it against their teammate.
Could have. But he had a legitimate injury that he was concerned with. He was also a no brainer. Rousseau is a converted WR I believe that is still learning the position.
He was raw coming out of HS but he still played DE both his years at UM. Rousseau is a projected top 5 pick. Doesn’t get much more of a no-brainer...
i'm old enough to remember when christian mccaffrey sat out his bowl game and how that would hurt his draft stock
Worst mock yet? Worst mock yet. https://247sports.com/LongFormArtic...Team-153263607/Amp/?__twitter_impression=true
My favorite part was the Colts picking twice (within 5 picks of each other), the Browns not having a pick at all, and the Cowboys picking at 19. They sure put a lot of work into this one.
like just Sewell being there and not the 150 other players who are also better than Moses is what will make you quit?
Not saying he will but if he does it wouldnt be unheard of I don't think. Didnt Cromartie barely play his last few years too?
He sat his jr year out due to acl tear over the spring/ summer And yeah if Nas goes to the combine and puts up those numbers I can see it But hes not doin that because hes not that freak athlete
I don’t think scouts would have been impressed popping in the tapes and seeing someone fatter than Ethan white
Terrance Marshall has always been a top WR prospect. He was putting up numbers every bit as impressive as Jefferson and Chase before getting hurt. He could be a 1st round selection this year. Chase is still WR1.
He works against FSU’s O-Line everyday. Florida’s line, IMG’s line, a blocking sled, or an old wooden door sticking in the frame would pose more significant of a challenge to his stat padding by comparison.
I just spent last year with the fervent belief we'd get Tua and it worked. Trying the same for Waddle. I don't really give a fuck how high the Texan's pick is, it's not to early IMO.
Waddle is insane but top 5, fucking stupid. Take a WR with your first rounder and either get someone like Sewell or trade Houston pick
To me they are 1A and 1B. They are both good fits for what the dolphins need badly. We have two big bodied possession guys as our top two WRs. Chase and Waddle both excel at beating the defense deep. If anything I think maybe Tua's familiarity with Waddle may make him 1A. Also Waddle wins more on pure separation while Chase is a little more of a win physical 50/50 balls type. Tua is more of a throw to RAC guy than Fitzpatrick who Chase would be ideal for. Basically I think who is better depends your qb and what his tendencies are.
But for real if Waddle runs something insane at the combine assuming he’s healthy I’m taking him over Chase. Elite speed plus that route running, yes please
I feel opposite. I'm ready for Chase/Waddle wherever the Texans pick is. Our rookies on OL have been performing well. I don't think we need to use a top 5 (maybe) pick on Sewell.
disagree, gotta take the elite OT there. Top established pass rushers hit FA and trade market all the time. Dolphins will have tons of cap space still.
Waddle crushing the 40 at the combine is a given. Its another unreal WR class. Could see up to 6 guys go R1 or early R2 between Chase, Moore, Bateman, Williams, Waddle and Marshall.
