I don’t think i agree. They are 0-1 with Ravens Steelers Titans Packers Pats Colts Bears Colts Titans still on the schedule. They have Jax twice which can be dangerous with minshew plus Detroit and Cincinnati
Herbert getting the start for LAC today. If he plays reasonably well I think that probably helps us see tua week 4 or 5.
It probably shouldn't matter but pressure to play a top 5 QB when other first round qbs are playing is a real thing
Rookies on the OL continue to play well. Offense took some steps, but secondary struggled. Igbo struggling doesn’t concern me too much though, rookie DBs have a tough time.
Fellas...we may start 0-9 Jax Seattle 49ers Broncos(could have a chance) Chargers Rams Cardinals then we Jets twice in a row bengals Chiefs Pats Raiders Bills we may win 2 games both vs the jets
Fitz is probably too good for us to go 0-9. He's streaky as hell and has looked bad so far but he'll win us a few.
We just need to get the D right. I knew we were a year away and this was prob a 6 win team, but I am very shocked at how bad the D has looked with all the additions and a defensive HC. I didn't expect it to be a top 10 unit or anything but we're near the bottom of the barrel and I don't have a lot of confidence that we can stop anybody right now.
I think we (or at least me) overrated the off-season acquisitions in the front 7 and massively overrated Baker. Noah got burned a few times by Diggs, but whatever. That's gonna happen. The problem is Baker hasn't progressed at all since we drafted him and the front 7 in general is getting tossed around.
The Bills ran the same play all game. A deep cross. It was wide open 90% of the time. I know Jones being out hurt, but how the hell do you not scheme a way to take away that route. Make Allen complete any other throw to beat you.
Definitely. If you can come out the draft with 2 guys that look like they can be long term players at OL, plus Tua and Noah looking promising that's a huge win.
OL looked good Defense looked much better Noah igbanohanoe looked better thank god minshew missed that blown coverage Gaskin definitely is RB1
Not going to link it (nor actually read it) but saw a column from Omar about how Fitz is the heart and soul of the Dolphins and basically to not give up on him just yet! Which you know....it's not like we have a decade of evidence and obviously isn't the actual future.
He’s the heart and soul of the team, but they need to figure out if Tua is the future. Because if he’s not, they need to do whatever it takes to get Trevor Lawrence next draft.
LOL on having that figured out this season and making a move on TL in the next draft barring some catastrophic injury.
The #1 pick isn't going to be traded unless the Bengals get it. We aren't going to be bad enough to get it. I think you'll see Tua this year but it won't be because of wanting a shot at Lawrence if Tua doesn't look good.
Seems strange b/c our OL seems improved but PFF has Austin Jackson as the worst rated OT in the league
I knew the Texans were 0-2 but I was just wondering who they play this week. It's the Steelers. Good chance for an 0-3 start and hopefully a death spiral.
If the OL is good enough to keep Tua from getting killed, he needs to be out there. I worded my first post badly. The point isn’t to make sure we don’t need to go after Lawrence. It’s just one of the reasons. We need to know about Tua sooner rather than later. Especially because this QB draft is also loaded.
