Just listened to Kyle Wright’s postgame interview. From his face, facial hair, hair, voice and vandy education, I just can’t support him. We’ve gotta trade this wine and cheese looking fucker.
biggest series of the year in late september in an empty stadium against the miami marlins just like we all expected at the start of 2020
I was captivated by Chip's goofy enthusiasm the first 30 times I saw that gif before I noticed him leaving the little brunette girl hanging, and now that's all I can see.
hope we wrap this thing up ASAP so we can possibly give folty a start this weekend just to see what’s there
Can we clinch tomorrow with two Phillies losses and beating Marlins in first two games? Phillies couldn’t get to 33 wins so they’re out. Would guaranty Braves have better division record than Marlins even if the Marlins finish 5-0 and Braves get swept by Red Soxd
Right now we have the exact same record and intradivision record but we show higher than them on the league standings I would guess that would make our magic number for the 2 seed 8 for now Right now we have listed starters as Monday - Ynoa v Miami Tuesday - Hamels v Miami Wednesday - TBD v Miami Thursday - Fried v Miami Friday - TBD v Boston (I assume Anderson) Saturday - TBD v Boston (I assume Wright) Sunday - TBD v Boston (I assume Hamels) So could be Folty on Wednesday to see if he has got enough to be included, otherwise it looks like they're setting up Fried-Anderson-Wright-Hamels for the playoffs
magic number to eliminate the phillies is 4 so yes if we go 2-2 against the marlins it would mean we're tied 5-5 on the year and finish 23-17 vs the east compared to their 22-18 magic number is 5 but 4 can also get it done.
Need to see more from Wright before feeling comfortable about him as a regular in the rotation. Hopefully he can build on the last 2 starts and become a solid #4 in 2021
Hey remember when DMX justified our lack of action at the trade deadline by saying Hamels was just as good as a midseason trade? I member
Maybe we can work out a way to overpay Verlander for his final year of his contract. Old, injured, expensive. Right up our alley.
A good thing is that we maintained financial flexibility by signing Cole instead of giving Zack Wheeler a bunch of money
This is a perfect opportunity to bring him back at like a mil and get our money back when he has an amazing comeback Cy Young campaign
There was certainly that risk with Hamels, but I still don’t hate that move. Still not over sitting on our hands at the deadline when Hamels and Soroka were hurt. Absolutely have to get a guy who can be nearly guaranteed to give us 180+ good-great innings next year. And then bring in a lottery ticket or two on top of that.
