I was wondering the same, but taxpayers would need to do that individually and likely face legal consequences if the IRS actually had the resources (they don't).
Spineless bootlicker. seriously tho, if not for Russian interference and Facebook coordination of such, this is the type of environment where a wave election should sweep out clowns like that and fundamentally shift the balance of power.
the fact that this only has 2300 likes about an hour after posting shows her current reach. This race is winnable but I don’t know if the dems and dem donors will spend enough to go after a very expensive, very ambitious seat. I think a big spend would be required to get her name out there in the state.
interesting outlook on voters in Florida and more specifically the Tampa Bay Area media market that has 25% of the registered voters in Florida and a very diverse populace that almost exactly replicates the country as a whole. It is also a battleground within a battleground that can go either way in most elections.
It symbolizes her lack of name recognition and outreach. An old white incumbent who’s well known it probably doesn’t matter. A younger woman who is not well known in her home state let alone nationally to fundraise, it can be a problem. Advertising in Texas is expensive. It’s going to be a struggle for her to get her name out there without using social media and the free advertising you can get from it to her advantage.
It symbolizes the echo chamber of twitter hasnt ascended her as high as others. It doesn’t signify shit with actual voters. I say this as a person who spends more time on twitter than any other social media. It’s great for news, but using likes/reach to equate to actual votes isn’t correct.
I didn’t equate it to votes I equated it to name recognition which is a major problem for her in this specific race. This race is polling much more undecided voters than the other races. A big reason pointed to is her lack of name recognition. Acting like that can’t be helped by social media is flawed logic. Acting like social media can’t help fundraising is also wrong and that can be another key for her ability to become better known to the large majority of the electorate that aren’t influenced by twitter.
I posted it in the election thread but Collins favorable/unfavorable was flat and Gideon was +19 which is pretty telling.
Is Hegar running on anything this time or is she still doing her Amy McGrath-esque "Women can help occupy the middle east too!" Obviously she'd be a huge improvement over Cornyn, but you can only bank so much support for if you're a Democrat troop.
We feel so close to civil war, and I’m sure trumps shit head base feels the same way. Truly too much winning!
So in this scenario Dems net 2 to 51-49, with toss ups in Iowa and NC. Can’t see either of those going blue, especially with the GOP suppression tactics in NC. Gonna need a lot of help to get a tied or D Senate to go along with a presumptive Biden victory (hard to see Putin and Barr allowing that tho). Priority #1 is to get Trump out, but not much gets done with a McConnell Senate.
Similar to this I'll never understand why reporters tweet out stuff sent to them that's racist, contains threats, etc and blank out emails/names.
#1 and his argument for it are both dumb. “Clearly this was the intent of the the founding fathers.” *ignores every election the founding fathers personally participated in*
I like the part about no state grants if a locality passes any legislation that defunds the police. As in "no money for you if you do a democracy"
so today the government has declared major cities to be sites of anarchy and also the governor of a major battleground state is attempting to justify extrajudicial murder and it’s not yet lunch on the west coast
Surreal watching western civilization crumble in real time Not that crazy when you consider how much corruption one side will have to face if it loses
This won’t even be a third level partial sub-footnote in this rolling multi year clusterfuck of a perpetual systemic scandal.
