in my hometown two months ago there was outrage that a suspect shot and killed a police dog...after investigation the suspect’s only shot was shooting himself which led to the police lighting up their own dog and the girl that was with the guy. Girl survived after I believe six shots. The dog did not.

Fuck man. This is exactly the conversation that needs to happen about defunding police. This is a job for an unarmed social worker or someone like that. There is no need to have these roided up assholes involved.

I don’t feel as bad as I should about it. I watch men of color get shot for no reason and wonder why a white guy was given so much slack. Cops make it hard to have empathy for them. It shouldn’t be the case but it’s the truth. I am not going to lie. I am a pretty empathetic person and that is what sucks. There’s nothing to address, loss of life incredibly sad. Any human with a shred of decency should feel that way.
I have plenty of decency but not all loss of life is equal. For instance, you really gonna care if someone murders Trump or one of his cronies? Cops spend most of their time as an oppressive force of the government especially against minorities. Why should I care about someone who volunteers to do that job? Not to mention police forces seem to only help other cops, drain necessary funds that could go to helping the populace (Education, Social work etc)

LOL. I literally said I felt bad for not feeling worse about those cops getting shot. There is a reason for that and it is videos like the one of that kid getting shot. Me having a natural to what we see on these tapes doesn’t make any less human or have any less decency.
