We were in Carrollwood before and I love Carrollwood. It stinks the schools aren’t better. It’s why we moved to Lutz which was A from elementary through high school.
I’m down to clown when it’s safe. That’s how I met Lawnole23 11 years ago. Random bar. One night stand.
Which ones? I've been to deBine off Alt 19 but not any others up there. Been to all of the Dunedin ones.
It was a couple years ago but it wasn't bad, just not memorable. Nice location and tasting room though. Not sure if they're open during all of this. Haven't heard of Stilthouse but I'll probably check it out at some point.
Hey guys I’m in Indian Rocks Beach and Dunedin for the next week for my Honeymoon. Figured we’d make our way to Clearwater and check out some things to do there. Any other recommendations on things to do/places to check out or eat in the area?
Same. Oh let do it... Are we waiting till the Covid stuff goes away or are we trying to set this thing up in the next few weeks?
Brew bus is really just paying for a driver to take you to 3 breweries and you get a beer for the road. Wouldn’t do it again.
Yep done brewbus to St Pete for first Friday, pay like $20-25 apiece(can't remember exact number) to get a ride to St Pete and you get like 1-2 beers on the way there. It's not the worst idea but if you've got a few friends it's so much easier splitting an uber and going from there.
Appreciate the insight man. We’ll go to Treasure Island tomorrow then hit up Clearwater Wednesday on our way to Dunedin as we’ll have 4 hours to kill going from one BNB to the next.
We could do one of the Brew Bus Sunday loops when things open up again. ~$20 hop on hop off for like 15 bars/breweries across downtown, Ybor, and the Heights.
Imo downtown St Pete or Dunedin are the 2 best walkable brewery bar hop spots. I'd pick either over a brewbus trip.
Treasure Island was a good time. We’re in Dunedin now checking out some different breweries and restaurants. Anywhere in particular you’d recommend?
Seventh Sun is generally good to great. Cueni is good too. Caledonia has a cool setup and good beer. Clear Sky Draught Haus has a massive food menu. If you don’t know what you're in the mood for, they've pretty much got everything.
Seventh Sun is .4 miles from us. Was going to go there tonight after Cueni but I wanted to get back home to watch the Chiefs game. We’re staying at Marker 8. We’ll make that stop tomorrow.
Crown and Bull is supposed to have pretty good breakfast if you're looking for something this morning. I know my parents liked it when they stayed in Dunedin in July
I'm not huge on sventh sun. They opened one right by my house a while back. Good, just not great imvho I actually think Dunedin brewery is the best one over there
We went there for drinks and some charcuterie the other night. We liked it quite a bit. Went there our first night. Beer was good but the waitress sucked. She was more concerned with talking to some dude hanging out than anything. They also weren’t offering flights which I thought was pretty dumb.
Dunedin Brewery beer is ok, but their wings are phenomenal. Really good fries too. Woodwright Brewery is also right up the street. Their beer garden is a good spot when the weather is nice outside. Their beer doesn't really stand out in my memory though. If you end up at Clear Sky Draught Haus, Soggy Bottom Brewery is attached to it and then Caledonia Brewing like 100 yds away. It'll probably rain again tonight, so that could be a good option having 3 things close together unless you already have plans or want to venture somewhere else.
Good looking out. Might have to do that tonight. Currently relaxing on honeymoon island. It’s alright but definitely prefer IRB and Treasure Island over this place. I actually did order some wings and the Dunedin Brewery. Can confirm, damn good.
There's time to figure it out but unless things improve dramatically it's fucking nuts to think about Gasparilla and then Super Bowl the next week. Everyone in the city would be infected within a few days of Gasparilla.
So I was supposed to go to Orange Beach next weekend with a buddy, but that is out now obviously. Thank you Sally. How are things in Treasure Island/St Pete area at the moment? Just a weekend trip, so is it worth flying a little further to still sit on a beach?
actually, my lease is up end of October so i'm looking to move out of Lakeland... looking for something about 30 mins out at most from County Line Rd exit. Temple Terrace and that area seems decent... Brandon's so congested. I would just rather move into Tampa at that point... any other advice?
