Pagano isn’t as aggressive but the team defense was top 10 with losing Amos and Hicks and playing the corpse of Prince at CB. They lost a lot of talent last year to FA and injury. This year they really only improved at CB and Edge but took a huge loss with Goldman. I don’t hate Pagano I just wish with a lead he would be more agressive. He allows the defense to play bend don’t break and that’s not a style most fans like.
We’ve looked like doodoo for 5/8 quarters this year and are still 2-0. 4 really winnable games coming up before the schedule gets real.
ATL looking like they can put up points, but also gives up a ton. Gonna need Mitch to play decent and Mack/Quinn to get home....
I figure ole chuck will use a base defense only rushing 3 and sometimes 4, playing soft coverage behind them.. allowing Ryan to throw for 450 and 3tds..
They always said the real Brian’s Song was Payton and Shuey, said Sayers and Pic weren’t as tight as the movie portrayed.
Bears defense has really struggled on 1st and 2nd down. If he can be an upgrade over Jenkins that could be a nice pickup.
Hoge and Jahns broke down that first interception from Sunday. Said ARob cut the route of 2 yards short versus other times that play was ran in game and that’s why the ball seemed to get to him a tick late. Said we ran the same play the very next drive but Mooney was in ARob spot and the coverage was exactly the same but he cut at the proper spot and the ball was right on him for an easy completion.
That when we were lined up the same and every other route was the same 1 time in the game that route was 2 yards shorter. I’m not going to go through the all-22 to verify but passing on the info.
I’ll put both on A-Rob then, I didn’t really care for the jump ball late in the game either but A-Rob also should have at least half ass attempted to come down with it.
If A-Rob wasn’t in a contract dispute nobody would give a shit. But he is and he put a massive spotlight on himself and his play so now we are breaking down All 22 film to assign blame. That’s no a slight to dirt but just what happens when you go public with shit like this. People are going to nit pick on every last thing Robinson does moving forward.
I think a lot of fans forget our franchise has shit luck with QB’s, put Trubisky on KC with Andy Reid and we’re wishing we would’ve took him instead of Mahomes. It’s just the way it works.....
No... Chicago took the worst of three QBs in that class at the time and it’s proven correct now. With that said he’s been pretty good this year with the offense being throttled down. He should and this offense should have a big game tomorrow with Atlanta rocked by DNPs
Tice shouldn’t get some sort of praise because he had a terrible eval on Wilson. That story is being spun as “man Chicago knew he was good was just waiting for him in the fourth”. Nah you guys had a terrible eval and took some shirt tier hybrid pass rusher from Boise State as your top pick. Think that was Emry first draft and it was dreadful. Chicago has had a long history of bad QBs because we have had a long history or terrible GMs.
We need more design in our routes.. we literally run in and stop routes. A little diversity would be welcomed..
These non called holdings are beyond ridiculous. Coaching staff has to make it a point at every press conference.
