I’d shown this to the fiancé this week because I think it’s awesome, and apparently her and my parents are gonna get it for me for Christmas now lol
Also, if anyone has/finds the 501st set, please let me know/snag it for me. I’ll pay shipping and all that. Seems like they’re impossible to find
Gonna end up getting both of these. This one for me: https://www.cnet.com/news/lego-releases-new-tim-burton-batman-1989-set-on-batman-day/ This one for the Mrs: https://www.cnet.com/news/baby-yoda-lego-set-rebuilds-the-mandalorians-cute-star-wars-child/
Yeah, I've had the F40 in my Amazon wishlist for about 18 months and just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. Even moved it to my cart once and thought better of it. It'll happen one day.
Also. Very random, do any of you guys have a specific brand of shelf to display yours? Trying to find something for the cave
I assume the resale value holds up on that even after you build it? Would love to build but probably wouldn’t want to keep/display it.
I LOVED legos as a kid and now my 6yo is getting into them. Ordered this as our first "big" set, pirate ship is next, not sure where ti go after that. Needs to be somewhat cool to a little girl. https://www.target.com/p/lego-city-...KnviYThobX1TGkEpXsIaAmHSEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Just ordered two Advent sets off Costco because fuck you that’s why: LEGO Friends Advent Calendar https://www.costco.com/lego-friends-advent-calendar.product.100685923.html LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar https://www.costco.com/lego-star-wars-advent-calendar.product.100689354.html My girls will forget to do some days here and there and I’ll get to do a bunch.
I’m also bored and building a Marvel set the Mrs neglected after completing 1 bag. She managed to open bag 2, not build any of it, and lose 2 pieces

Stuck in for the weekend waiting on a Covid test, trying to figure out how t get my hands on a set tomorrow. I have the White House to do but I need to find something the kid will like too. Hoping Target does drop in your car service locally.
I’ll eventually get that to build with the fiancé I imagine. She just recently did the Beauxbaton carriage, and is wanting a couple of the new Hogwarts buildings that got released.
Maaaaaaan, I need this: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/...UY-CREATE-BRAND-SHOP-BP-SP-RN-CATCH_ALL_BRAND
Fiance + in-laws are getting me the Mos Eisley Cantina for Christmas. LEGO store in OKC restocked and they're getting it today. I'm going to feel like i'm 12 again on Christmas
This thread motivated me to put buy and put together this set while watching election coverage this week:
What do you do with the sets when you're done? Lego pieces are way more detailed than when I was a kid. When I was a kid, I'd build something, then break it down a week later and use the pieces to build other stuff. I don't know where to put the sets and if I break it down, i'll probably have to put them all in indiviual zip locks. I may just put them in my office at work. Not sure how it'll look with me being so much younger than everyone though.
I keep the sets I really like put together/displayed in my man cave. Rest of them I break down and put in box for when I inevitably want to build them again.
Embarrassingly enough, there is a room in my house with floating shelves full of all of my completed builds lol
We break them up after a while and put them in these big plastic bins. If it’s a really involved one like my daughter’s BB8, we keep it up in their rooms.
Got this for my daughter at 6 years old. She missed a couple of pieces and the one part didn’t pull out. Had to take the majority of it apart and put it back together. Not mad at all. she’s very much in to it. Actually for the past week she’d wake up when she hears me and we spend 30 minutes putting together the Disney train set that actually runs. Today it finally was complete and ran on the track for the first time. It was a good day. edit: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/...UY-CREATE-BRAND-SHOP-BP-SP-RN-CATCH_ALL_BRAND
This was my question. I love building them (obviously), but have zero space to show or save them. Would love to have a room, or even just a large shelving unit, to put them on. Instead I come in here and get jealous of y'all. Also, I know once I take them apart I would never build them again, unfortunately.
Wish the pirate ship they had when I was younger included sails made out of legos and not that flimsy, crappy cloth.
I'm both happy for you and insanely jealous. Although I think an early Christmas gift to myself sounds very nice
I had so many of the pirate and midevil sets when I was a kid. Donated them to a family when I was in high school though. Was pretty awesome seeing the kids eyes light up when they saw how many legos I gave them.
My 4 year old has gotten big into legos, it's awesome. My parents got rid of all of my legos without asking me; I've been trying to find a few of the kits I used to have. Been fun...
