I haven't tried the 2004. Only the Zinfandel, 2005, 2007, and Nobiliary. For me it is a tossup between and except maybe the 2005, which is great but the others are on a different level.
I was let down by the nobiliary (just tastes like 2007 to me) but 2008 definitely has a more rum/sugarcane taste to it
I love Nobiliary. tasting like 2007 is a feature for me, but I also think it is much more than that. I get a lot of tropical fruits from it too.
Cracked the ETL tonight. Good, but crazy to think it sells for anywhere near $200. Will revisit it after letting it sit for a couple months
Weller single barrel is phenomenal. Booker’s Rye also extremely good - amazingly smooth for a 136 proof rye. Like I said, not good at self control.
Going old school and having an afternoon taste. Forget what is in it, LB4 is excellent and that is only my first sip. All LB's have gotten better for me with a little open bottle time too. I look forward to tasting this after it ages. The whole is better than the sum of the parts. The nose is interesting. I get a bit of amoretto, and it transfers into the taste also, but the finish is definitely rye.
Have you tried this yet? I'm not a huge fan of their bourbon (like their Peel gin a lot)....and passed on a bottle the other day. If you like it a lot, I'll try to grab one.
it’s on my waiting to open shelf, their bourbon is young still. They age it all across the street at a customer of mine. The amount of barrels increases by the month The 4 peel gin is incredible but slightly pricey
PVW15 a little disappointing, think I prefer the Lot B. Honestly the best thing so far has been the Weller Single Barrel.
it was sincere, I just read the thread. Sorry if i can’t keep up why are you always so defensive? My post was absolutely not against you at all. What i meant is that you can enjoy a bourbon, you can post poorly nobody cares. It’s not a competition in here
I am going to try to get as many of these first release WSBs as possible because they are that good. I was skeptical when they were valued at 550 but it’s fantastic. Because it’s a SB I’m sure there will be some variation but I’m wondering if they picked some serious honey barrels for this first release
Haven’t had FP or CYPB. Also haven’t had EHT BP yet. EHTBP seems to be everywhere for a $400-$450 bottle
I just saw a liquor store in Peachtree City with EH small batch for... Spoiler o n e h u n d r e d s e v e n t y f i v e d o l l a r s
I guess I’m just going to keep buying EHT small batch for $45 every single time I can because people are stupid.
