btw I just rewatched ep 3. I didn’t catch it the first time but when Stormfront killed the girl’s brother she called him a “fucking yellow” so I think we’re in good shape on the choice of name.
Spoiler Well it looks like she might be immortal, and I'm thinking there's more to liberty than just Shitty AMC Show of one innocent black man.... Also damn that was a good episode despite being maybe the slowest episode of the boys ever. I feel like something had to have happen between liberty and vaught that caused her to disappear in the first place
Thought might have been the best episode yet. Great development of Butcher, MM, Homelander. I don’t know the comic so there could be another angle, but the simple explanation is basically “racism isn’t dead”.
Currently reading the comic... It's solid, but be warned. It makes the show look like a PG movie This shit aint for kids
OMG at the homelander scene with doppelgänger. I was so fucking confused and thought I had forgot a plot point, but no. Now I need to puke on top of puking.
Yes, so Stormfront...definitely appropriately named. I’m trying to figure out the message of who Homelander would be if Stormfront is supposed to be white supremacists or Trump specifically. Is he the pre-Trump Republican Party?
Agree to disagree on some nuance. Not going politics and race in a TV show thread. Nobody wants that.
Really good episode. Feels like this season is finding its groove and where the storylines/plot are going. Every Homelander scene is riveting. Hopefully Antony Starr gets nominated.
You should seriously check out "You're The Worst." It's probably one of my favorite shows ever, and she's fantastic.
I’m on S1E7 and this show rules. I have nothing else to add bc everything has probably been said. Will read through the thread once I catch up. Billy Butcher. Fuck The Deep.
Definitely felt like an episode where they are arranging the pieces on the chess board for the final arc of the season, but, I agree, it still managed to be fantastic.
Spin off just announced https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadli...ecord-season-2-launch-ratings-1234584256/amp/
Spoiler homelander embracing stormfront after she dumped all her nazi baggage on his lap was quite the image
I’m afraid for Frenchie now Spoiler seems like the type of arc where someone gets closure then killed off
