Have some good friends in TX that rave about it. I can't order it in PA and I've looking in NJ and DE while passing through and never found it. I've been quoted $175 in NJ if they order it for me and just havent pulled the trigger.
how do you guys like these? Thinking about getting one for myself in the disguise of a birthday present for my wife.
My hair has started to become more oily lately despite following the same hair care routine that I was before. So what are some good oily cars shampoos?
Had the same set of 2.5s since dental school and just upgraded this year to designs for vision 4.5 panoramics and love them, would never go back to less and with the panorama still have a great field of view.
have a ten year old set of orascoptic 2.5x. have been thinking about increasing magnification when I get a new set. Not sure if I feel like dropping a grand anytime soon though had my battery charger go out last week and had to do a little work with my overhead lamp. Felt like I couldn’t see a damn thing. I’ve never heard anyone say they regretted going up a power.
Real men don’t wear loupes. I actually have never worn them but I work on kids. I feel like I it is going to suck when my eyesight goes. Even without using them I would recommend them. Have you started clinic yet?
You're going to be surprised when you see what loupes cost now. My new set was like $2400 and I think I paid around $600 or so for my set I got around 09 as a student. Granted the panoramic was more and DSV isn't the cheapest company but I was a bit taken aback. Also can't imagine how anyone works without a headlamp. Loupes I can see, but the headlamp I could never go without.
yeah, havent seen a ton of patients due to COVID but have done at least a little bit of most procedures (no endo or implant yet). I’m trying to avoid endo altogether until I get the higher mag loupes, not that we can do any root canals until january anyway
Ive sent my AirPods through a complete wash and dry laundry cycle three times, and our puppy put a tooth through one of them recently. There’s been zero decline in performance, still work great.
Put mine through the wash once. They've had some goofiness but I just turned off auto detection and they work fine. Don't really miss the auto detection all that much.
shit. I’ve been repairing mine and keeping them patched together. Pro tip here: don’t send them to the manufacturer unless they are under warranty. I use a guy down in Florida that fixes me up for cheap. Eagle optical is his company name I believe.
Take it to the dentist thread! But honestly, after reading those posts had to google that stuff. Pretty interesting.
Keep your head down. I’m sure this is a tough time to start. This advice is probably worth what it costs but I will give it to you anyways. Invest in a Kona adapter (knock off dryshield) and a couple of dryshield autoclavable mouth pieces. I was working the other day thinking about how nice this would have been in clinic. It retracts, suctions and isolates for you. Also much easier to slide on and off than a runner dam. https://konaadapter.wordpress.com/purchase/
Details? Buddy took me for a ride in his performance edition. Pedal to the floor, I was not prepared.
This is just the regular old Standard Range Plus. Wife has a commute of about 18 miles each way so we don’t really need anything more. I work from home so we have a regular gas car too, but it’s older. It’s incredible that this is technically the slowest car Tesla makes and that acceleration is just smooth as butter.
It’s a very bizarre sensation to be silently shot forward as if a rubber band was released under tension. Congrats on the car though, very fun and I haven’t known a Tesla owner that has regretted the purchase.
So far so good. Definitely some getting used to but not pumping gas on a regular basis is pretty cool. Having an electrician come out and install a 240v/50a outlet in the garage and we will be all set. Hope to drive it until the wheels fall off.
careful with that. Buddy of mine got so used to not pumping gas, that when he did finally get gas for his other car, he broke the nozzle off driving away.
yep, airbag (luckily we keep the glove compartment locked so they didn’t get the passenger airbag) and all of the sensors. same thing happened to about 5 or 6 other hondas on the same street
