Also realized I've never known so little about our team going into a season in my life. Not sure if that's a good or not good thing.
I think we end up 3-5. We'll beat one of Iowa or Minnesota and go 2-1 against Northwestern, Illinois, and Purdue. It's beyond pathetic that this makes me feel a little bit on the rosy side of things.
I think Ohio State and Penn State are safe Ls. I don’t think we will beat Wisconsin but we have hung with them at times post-Pelini and they have had some rough performances out of the gate. Iowa we have hung with them two straight years with Frost, so again not saying we win but not a sure loss. The remaining games I could see going either way. It’s just so hard to predict this season because who knows who’s actually been putting work in this offseason. Also after Saturday, maybe we get some chaos from week to week. I just want to look competitive throughout the year, get some young guys experience, and hopefully use the free year to build depth for the “real” season in 2021.
WI and Iowa are firmly L category since we haven't beaten Wisconsin since 2012 (!), the one time since joining the B1G, and we haven't beaten Iowa since 2014. Just imo, of course.
Oh yeah I guess I didn’t add it to my post but when discussing with my friends I usually preface what I said above with “They are Ls until further notice...BUT...”
Jonathan Taylor is gone right? That's like -200 yards rushing for Wisconsin. I think it's at least a coin flip.
I’m also wishfully thinking that maybe the fact the season is not going to feel “real”, plus the lack of fans even at home maybe takes the pressure off these guys and it helps out. Seems like for years Nebraska can’t ever just show up and play.
I know. But they were just coming off being a name program and it was a big OOC game in front of the country.
Was thinking about his Wisconsin days when watching the colts vs jets yesterday which felt like a minor league, day game atmosphere. Mind was also blown that Frank Gore at 37 years old was the jets leading rusher.
Yeah, I would say in terms of “feel”, the 2016 Oregon game felt like a big game when it happened and although it didn’t mean much in hindsight at the time it seemed like we took a step forward.
Yeah something like 2200 new cases yesterday with a 25% positive rate. That state is a dumpster fire right now
Who could have possibly predicted this with the shenanigans that have been pulled there in the last few years...
It’s a little harsh to blame a statewide Covid crisis on the fact that they never get called for holding. I mean it bugs me too but let’s keep college football in perspective
Would I rather find a billion dollars on the sidewalk but have a hoard of super models laugh at my tiny peen OR walk past those billion dollars but have all those super models jump on this tiny peen? Guess what? My peen and billion dollar finding abilities are both at like a 3/100. So it doesn’t matter. Much like the Husks. They suck Dongs.
crowd of women all laughing and pointing at my small peen is my fetish anyway so I'll go with the cash
Ya ever just wonder if Bill Moos is still downing 47 tallboys all the tim which reminds me is Bill Moos still alive and the athletic director or
Very but also haven't thought a whole lot about husk athletics since the end of basketball season so here I am.
My youngest’s soccer league has some of the ugliest moms in the city. my oldest’s volleyball league has some of the hottest. obviously the math is clear Vball>soccer
Between the Corn and the Twins I sure am a fan of teams that absolutely piss themselves any time a modicum of credibility is on the line.
