Blank is at least in the no comment phase of are you firing Quinn. After the Packers blow us out I think its a done deal.
Sad thing is you are right because our next 5 games after that should all be wins. Vikings, Lions, Panthers twice, and Broncos.
Bad news is your $24 million over the cap in 21. Might as well keep DQ to weather the cap hell next year.
Let’s not run Duckfan off just yet. Maybe he can give us tips on how to start a league-wide fantasy baseball league and abscond with the buy-ins, thus having the money to cover the salary cap deficit.
What's next, he going to tell us that prior to Sunday before last teams were 440-0 when scoring 39+ points and having 0 turnovers?
I'm not really sure what the fuck the falcons are going to do about the Cap next year. It's all funny money, but I don't see many "bad" deals where they can cut folks or many obvious restructuring possibilities
pretty depressing knowing we have an opportunity to clean house, secure 1st or 2nd pick and do a quick rebuild with a new franchise QB and instead we're going to maybe fire DQ (and if we do plug in Morris or some other figurehead) proceed to win meaningless games to fuck our draft pick, bring a new HC without addressing our personnel issues and repeat the same shit next year
Fire Dan after the Packers game. Dirk goes on a solid run vs absolute shit teams and all of a sudden you're 5-4 going into the week 10 BYE and Blank signed Kirk to a full time gig. You then lose 5 out of the final 6 games vs good teams and the #8 pick
Going reverse course here and say we keep Quinn through the season. He has proven he has what it takes to lose any game.
We should let him coach the season because he is a loser but he should be forced to do it for minimum wage.
He should honestly send all monies earned this season to us TMB Falcons fans for having to live through this bullshit.
Makes me so sad to see Sam L hyping this Monday Night game and knowing he doesn't have shit to Rise Up about right now.
So let’s be positive for a moment. After our “defensive minded” HC gives up 40 to GB and is finally let go, who becomes our next head coach? Let’s talk next year, not interim. I think the play is to give a chance to a new hot shot, not some “established” guy who has already been fired elsewhere. Maybe somebody like Eric Bieniemy? Who else fits that? Colts DC maybe? one important thing after DQ is cut is for us NOT to go on some 6-2 run again and make Koetter or whoever our interim guy is a permanent thing. Nobody currently with us is the long term answer in my opinion, and that of course extends to TD’s role as well
We need an offensive mind. Bienemy is the consensus pick of the fan base from what I can tell. I'd move Tosh to the interim HC. We know he can't coach for shit.
UPDATE: And then there were 7... Winless teams tracker: AFC- Jets Bengals Texans NFC- Giants Eagles Vikings Falcons It's still too early to tell, but the Jets are going to be tough to beat for #1 IMO.
But the Jets have Quarterback in Sam Darnold, so they're not in the Lawrence sweepstakes. Neither are the Bengals, Vikings, Giants, Eagl.... Hell we practically deserve it and can ship Ryan off to Buffalo
That would be too much Clemson in Sin City. The town and team would change names and become the Born Again Tithers.
3 way for the #1 pick imo. Jets, Giants and Falcons. Vikings have too much talent. Eagles will find a win or 2. Texans should win 4. And Bengals look much improved. Come back home Sunshine
From the New York Post this morning: Darnold is signed through next season and would cost $9mil against the cap to cut him though. But given the contract situation with Ryan, seems more likely that we're out of the sweepstakes than they are.
I don’t hold out a lot of hope that we are actually going to get the #1 pick, but I’m cheering for that and hoping for 3-13, cleaning house in the coaching staff and GM room, and a #3 pick where it goes 1. Lawrence, 2. Fields, then we get our version of Bosa or whoever the guy is. That’s about an ideal of a scenario as I can foresee for us, we just can’t help ourselves enough to actually go #1
I’m sure TD will be the smartest guy in the room and find a way to make it work after he uses whatever blackmail he has on Blank to keep his job. TD has always just been a genius at managing the cap.
Yall know good and well, even if we have the No1 pick TD will not draft a QB and will use Ryan's contract as an excuse.
We’re gonna pick 3rd and draft jaylen waddle because we’re just 1 Alabama receiver away from turning this thing into a contender.
