If you are enjoying this womens final tomorrow at 9 and men sunday at 9. We'll be here. Edit: AM Eastern.
Tsitsipas lost his legs. Sucks. But I think he gained a lot mentally from this match. Still needs to clean up a ton. Limit the unforced errors. Perfect serves. And work with physio on being quicker with feet and lateral speed.
From an earlier game. Apparently she cries before each match. So much pressure. 3-2 now. Iga showing her nerves on that game
Some of these reactions from Swiatek after missed points, we haven’t seen these much. Moment is definitely hitting her.
going to guess we will see these over-bearing parent/coaches that skirt the rules of the player box keep the covid masks on forever
I still dont understand why the WTA has that rule. In every tournament outside of the majors, they can come on the court at the changeover and talk. Makes no sense.
yea i thought it might change after the serena osaka deal but just think optics for majors is they want as limited bifurcation of rules as possible.
Ostapenko won the French Tokyo Drift style speeding down the mountain without somehow crashing over. Swiatek, win or lose, seems to have a much better handle on controlling her game.
And she jumps to #17. Think about these Women are younger than 23 based on Rankings. 9 in the top 30 Osaka Kenin Andreescu Sabalenka (wake the fuck up Sabs) Swiatek Rybakina Vondrousova Yastremska Anisimova
think andreescu is the best on this list. Interested to see how she is when she comes back. She’s got a mental game better than the rest of the tour I think.
Im very bias to it of course. But I really agree. Her mental game is second to none. That 2019 year was legendary. If I remember correct she had won 11 straight 3 set matches. So many times she'd come out and dominate, lose the 2nd set and then turn it on again in the 3rd. I want to see what she looks like when she comes back. I hate that the WTA only has 1 tournament the rest of the year. Cant wait for January
