i hope it's just him being a lumberjack the whole time. like, not killing anyone but just chopping down trees and hunting animals for food
Lithgow season will always be a work of art. Ending will always be one of the biggest travesties in television history.
$100 says he somehow finds himself involved with a young kid that has the same issues & urges he dealt with growing up and he plays the role of Harry by teaching/mentoring him
The constant 'GOT was worst ending ever, besides Dexter', pushed them over the edge. I'll certainly watch. Edit: season 4 of Dexter is greatest season of tv history and season 1 isn't that far behind either.
I always tell people to stop after season 4. Works as a fantastic series finale. I literally was shocked when I watched the season finale And killing off Doakes was a mistake. He was great. Felt like he always had Dexter on his toes
You must not remember how unwatchable Dexter had become. I’ll take the bleach inside my body thank you very much.
I don't think there is a show I lost as much interest in over the course of its airing as I did for Dexter.
I stopped watching after that. The finale destroyed me. It was so good and I was so devastated I couldn’t continue.
It's really a perfect ending for the series and the show eventually circles back to the exact same conclusion just with a much, much, much shittier build towards it. Having the showrunner from the first 4 seasons for this does give a tiny sliver of hope that they might be able to salvage the story and bring it to a more satisfying end than what we got but I think they'd be better off just deleting seasons 5-8 from existence and pretending like they never happened.
Pretty impressive that Michael C. Hall is in the greatest series finale ever and the worst series finale ever. Guess he is wanting to fix the latter.
This was a fun listen basically, Paul scheer has never seen an episode of dexter, so they watch the first and last episodes only. You’ll be surprised to hear what he thinks of the experience (spoiler you actually won’t be, but it’s a good pod)
