With Joe Buck unavailable for Game 7 of the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and Braves, it has opened the door for another recognizable voice to step in. It’s quite a familiar one for LA as it’s their play-by-play Spectrum SportsNet LA announcer Joe Davis, who will fill that spot. Since taking over for legendary broadcaster Vin Scully, Davis has been well-received by the fan base due to his strong work in the booth. Before taking that role, Davis spent a few years with Fox Sports and FS1 calling college football and basketball and the MLB and NFL. That included him taking the reins for MLB playoff division series matchups. He also covered Game 4 of the 2019 American National Championship Series when Buck was unavailable due to Thursday Night Football on that same day.
