Carbon copy of game 5, except there it was a great play plus a small error by us that may not have mattered. Today it’s a huge brain fart and we never even get close again. The outcome was freaking written in stone after that play.
Trying to keep it in perspective here, but coming into the season with all the injuries and COVID bullshit to start us off, I didn't even expect us to get here. It hurts, but all-in-all I'm still pretty proud of this team.
This should be the perspective but the torment of seeing a team blow a 3-1 series lead is just so quintessential Atlanta sports that it feels like there is no hope for this group of players.
You cannot win close, tight baseball games with shitty approach period. Pitchers make mistakes, if you battle and battle, you increase the likelihood of said mistake. It’s why they sucked all year with runners on. Outside of Freddy, they just don’t change their approach. You have a massive outfield. It’s probably what I hate most about baseball right now. Everything is pull pull pull, and launch angle. Shit is stupid
This is a good learning experience for players like Ron on what your approach should be at the plate in the playoffs. Mookie has been equally dogshit at the plate but has provided significant value
I really don’t know if I completely buy the Pache to Andruw comparison yet. Andruw gets a better read and catches that in his prime.
Ronnie needs to turn off social media for the playoffs he fell off a cliff when we needed him the most
I have perspective. Doesn't make me feel any better about blowing a 3-1 series lead or all the opportunities blown to win one of these last three games. It's incredibly painful.
Andruw played much much shallower which allowed him to be so great. Until Pache proves he can play like that he’s not close to Andruw, despite being very good.
I was only talking about myself trying to keep it in perspective. I don't disagree with anything you've said.
Fitting that Swanson and Riley will end our season after they ruined the game with their base running blunders
I’m just so tired of it. Somebody in GA made a deal with the devil around the time of the 96 olympics. Worst possible outcome for GA sports this weekend was a UGA loss, Falcons win and Braves loss, so of course like absolute clockwork all 3 go that way, and GT loses by 70 just for extra lulz. It was a great season and exceeded expectations and I’m happy we got here, but damnit, why does it have to end with blowing 3-1 lead, something that doesn’t happen to like 85% of teams in that spot? It may literally be easier to just be Detroit.
Hey man, go drown yourself. Do you still believe there wasn't a coup in Bolivia? Go keep defending a right-wing justice system you evil piece of shit.
