I don't think you can judge Kmet yet. Next year will be pivotal for him and if he's unproductive or not part of the offense then fire away. Monty isn't an elite RB but he's good enough talent and really can't be pointed at as a negative. Miller have been inconsistent and really disappointing. But its clear Pace has no fucking clue how to scout a WR. He's been god fucking awful on all his selections. Wimms, Ridley, Miller. The only WR I liked that he drafted was Mooney and at this point it looks like this kid will be our #2 WR before the season is over. That kid has a good future ahead of him. Pace fucking sucks at drafting WRs.
Having confidence that we could execute and not going with the sure thing to drain clock was stupid The offense has already proven they can't be trusted to execute
If the offense has proven is can't be trusted he's fucked regardless of the call. Just punt it on 3rd down lol. I have no problem with aggressive play calls. I have no issues with him going for it. Now these fucking TE screens and LOS throws... I can't stand
Defense was really good yesterday and the offense was trash, so it made more sense to run as much clock as possible
QB OT WR would be the three top priority’s for the draft. Nice thing is QB and WR seem to be deep especially that WR class.
It's not even that we looked bad, we looked bad against a terrible run d. If we can't run on these guys we can't do it against anyone. Next month will show who we really are.
I think part of the running issue is Montgomery. He doesn't really hit the hole. He dances before he accelerates
He gets the hand-off and immediately hesitates. I don't have a high enough football IQ to know if he has to wait for a hole to open up or if it's just a bad habit he has. Either way you'd have to think just hitting the hole would get a yard or two rather than get stuffed for negative yardage... which seems to happen pretty often.
my 12 year old always rips on him every time he runs the ball. Here comes another 3 yard gain from Montgomery!
Eh...every back that runs behind the line looks like shit. Plus, there's rarely ever a hole to hit. I've lost count of the number of times there's been a guy in the backfield as he's taking the handoff.
They won’t have the capital for the main two guys. question is how far up is he willing to go for either Trey Lance or Zach Wilson
I actually think we go OL in the 1st rd, Nick is signed for a few more to years and they’ll go developmental QB to back him up next year.
Somebody should give out fake Ryan Pace numbers to other front offices so he doesn't trade 2022 and 2023 first rounders
Nick is garbage. Nick also is gone after next season unless he somehow rebounds into something he’s never proven to be. Can’t wait to draft a tier 3 QB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Need to do what the Packers did with Love. The two guys I mentioned above are in the same tier talent as Love.
They’ll roll with Nick next year because he’s Nagy’s guy. They can save almost 12 million by cutting both Leno and Massie, Leno is probably sure to go, maybe both. We’ll draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd.
I forgot Infedi is gone next year, Bars and Coward don’t look like starters. I bet they keep one of Massie or Leno now just so they’re not replacing 3 starters. Probably fucking keep Leno because grabbing a LT late in the 1st or cheap in FA isn’t gonna happen.
They have so many issues on the offense. Still need a TE to play the Y. Might need two WRs depending on ARob LT, RT, IOL QB and let’s not forgot we still need a S, ILB and need to start looking at DE because Hicks isn’t getting any younger.
I was just looking at Over the Cap trying to figure out where the money will come from... you could cut Hicks and save $11 mill (bad move you’re not going to find a DE as good as Hicks). Same with Fuller who you could save $11 mill. Leno $6 mill, Massie $5 mill, and Graham $7 mill.... According to the site we’ve only got $5 mill of cap space next year, not great Bob
Yeah I was just looking at that. They have the cap down 20m. I think you probably see the cap stay flat. I can’t see it dip that low. I also assume they rework the Mack deal. Guarantee some of that salary to lower the cap hit.
I number of times hes dancing behind the los heavily outweighs him getting hit when he gets the handoff.. i agree the ol needs work either way
It could though bc everything they're eating this year and no revenue.. i highly doubt it though 20 mill though..
What makes anyone think Nagy can develop a QB? He hasn’t been able to develop any offensive player that i’ve seen.
I dont think Nagy is a bad HC at all, actually I think the team rallies around him and has never shown any quit. I’m also not against him giving up play calling duties to someone full time next year.
It's the lack of takeaways. Those are always unpredictable so I'm not worried; the issue with out team has always been offense. If you can't run the ball you can't extend drives and kill clock. Eventually defense gets tired. Also the whole bend but don't break is fine until there's a break, and it only takes one big play or a bullshit flag on a deep throw. I hate being negative but it hurts watching this team. The offense is anemic, and it's clear this wasn't all on Mitch. Nagy might be a good HC but he is not some offensive mastermind he was billed to be.
unless you upgrade at QB and OL won’t matter who calls the plays. I didn’t think they were playing this well. Imagine having a fully healthy DL.
