I have good intel that user Owsley dropped his phone in the Gulf of Mexico and thus won't be posting his beers in here this weekend
Has anyone had Sonomica Sour by Lagunitas? Thoughts? Also what about the DDH Southern Prohibition offerings?
The only alcohol-related damage I’ve done to my phone was on my 21st birthday. All things considered I feel pretty fortunate.
Monkish did its first ever Saturday sale today, which was just releasing all of this week's drops on a Saturday. Got the latest batch of one of their classic triple IPAs, a triple dry hopped version of their all galaxy DIPA, a first batch citra/galaxy DIPA, and a DDH single IPA version of a DIPA I got 2 months ago that I loved. This is very, very bad news for my wallet if they continue with Saturday can sales. I'm ashamed by how much I've spent on beer the last few weeks
All the way too high ABV stouts... If you like sours and IPAs, American Solera is about 10 mins drive from Prairie Brewpub and kicks butt.
Also, Heirloom Rustic Ales is just east of downtown and has a really cool vibe. Think Jolly Pumpkin or Jester King in terms of ingredient experimentation Tiffin .
I actually found a couple AS beers in Alabama this summer, very good stuff. With a buddy who's headed back to California after spending a few months back home, and while he's been east he discovered Prarie and they're his favorite now so we had to make the trek haha
oh I understand, they make fantastic stouts, they are just too damn much for me 363 days out of the year. Just wanted to make sure your realized how close AS was to Prairie as they have some great offerings.
Had to check out Heirloom solo since my friends wanted to go to Marshall (meh) right next to AS instead of moving again. Was near closing but got an interesting sumac saison and a bier de garde bottle to go. Was definitely up my alley a.tramp. guy let me taste the bier de garde and a mushroom saison, love the clean but funky stuff.
Also, didn't get to go to Cellar Boys right next to AS because they were closed for some staff party. But my buddy did get a nice tok of them getting rid of a pallet of beer. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMJaBahvm/
They are one of the only breweries I have been to that I finished everything I got in multiple flights. There are generally some misses, especially when you use as many adjunct ingredients as they do. They do it in a very subtle and nuanced way that does not overtake the beer’s style. Also, if I had friends that wanted me to go to Marahall, I would have flown solo as well
Marshall was fine when it was the only thing around when I lived in NWA 6 years ago, I was first deep diving into craft beer, and visited Tulsa. Now, its very average.
Bought this triple IPA. Also updated pic of beer fridge. Friend left a bunch of Abita’s in there so disregard those:
