The orc rank up/hierarchy system in whichever of the two I played was so fucking cool. Semi-reminiscent of Path of Exile’s Betrayal mechanics.
It’s hard to say. My guess is you’ll probably see more stock available on release day, but it won’t be a lot, and it’ll probably be online only.
As someone whose disliked the ps4 controller enough to buy the adapters that let you use an Xbox controller on the ps4, the dualsense feels much better. Bigger/more heft and definitely fits n my hands better. I think it works on PC already, so I’ll try it out later but first impressions are glowing from here. The charging station seems fine, I’ll see how it charges over time, of course. But it’s easy to put the controller on and unobtrusive on my shelf.
Someone explain to me why people are buying accessories to a console that hasn't even been released yet
I've never needed another controller other than what came with the console? At least not since split screen multiplayer was mostly replaced by online.
I have two because I'll use one until the battery runs out and then take the other off the charger and plug in the one that died.
yes. personally i play alone while sitting less than two feet from the console so im good with the one.
I never usually play for that long but it’s good to have a spare in case you forget to charge one after playing
Went and snagged my extra DualSense this afternoon since they're already available and I assume will be in short supply in another couple of weeks. Note that the standalone controller doesn't come with a USB-C so you'll need one if you plan to do anything with it in the next couple of weeks. I assume the console will at least come with 1. Impossible to find the Pulse headset or the charging cradle in stores right now, but Playstation Direct does have the charger in stock still. If you're a PS Plus member, you can get free expedited shipping (1-2 days). I saw a discussion on Reddit talking about how the haptic feedback already works with Spotify so I decided to test it out. If you want to fuck along with me at home: plug the DualSense into your PC plug a headset into the controller right click Speakers in the System Tray and open Volume Mixer click Speakers and go to the Enhancements tab toggle on Speaker Fill open Spotify and go nuts
So getting pumped about nov 12. Anyway I have a LG C8 I game on. Great TV but it doesn’t have hdmi 2.1. I didn’t want to have to upgrade but will I have to see the real difference in the new system?
It has a few advantages. It will be needed for any game that can run 4k 120fps which I honestly don't think will be many. Also has SDHR or whatever it's called which is an upgraded version of HDR. Think there's a few other things as well. Probably not needed right away for sure.
Being a completely responsible adult in total control of his emotions, this is definitely why I get a second. No controller breaking going on while drunk, nope.
This shit looks like its gonna give me a virus and steal my identity can someone confirm that it works before I try it
Had my pre-order since the second day it was available. Last week my wife broke her ankle. Medical bills have ensued. Considered cancelling my pre-order since I really don't need to be spending the extra money, but I decided to keep it. I will deserve it after taking care of her for the next several weeks
Still hoping to get a PS5. I don't have a Costco membership anymore, but will get one if it let's me secure a PS5.
You'll get the membership. Then get online when it says they're going live. You'll find out due to an "error" they already went live and 500 people whom already have a PS5 bought them all to sell online.
