I may take a stab at the Calumet 14 for retail. I’ve heard awful reviews of the Lone Whisker and Sweeten’s Cove though. Otherwise, tons of shit there that I’ve never heard of.
Some of this stuff the GM/owner of the store didnt know about either, just showed up one day. They are also releasing like 16 barrel picks in between now and the end of the year, so I’ll post any of those that folks may want.
OWA 1.75’s dropped in Ohio last week for $99, four of my buddies got them. I decided to go back to hunting this week after missing those so far I was 0/5 this week, back at it tomorrow
I also don’t know how to embed images in PMs so here’s what I’m trading him. Thanks everyone for stopping by Mr Mortisay and Dick Trickle show and tell.
Yeah you can't put images in PMs I don't think. Not sure what kind of website GoodForAnother is running here, honestly.
Yep, cracked it last night. I love all the JDBP picks I’ve tried, so no surprise that one was great to me as well.
I wanted to get over for that but without Facebook or Instagram I never knew the date. If you want to meet up for their fall drawing, let me know.
Cracks me up that Bankhead Beverage has a WFP pick. I remember going to buy a google phone off of craigslist in someone's yard circa 2007-2008 thinking I was going to get murdered.
Damn had I known you could have rode out there with me. I ended up getting 3 tickets and all 3 hit. Got 2 2019 4RSmBLE and a Stagg Jr B14. Sold the 2 4R and traded the SJr for some SW SmB and UC/UF. I got there at 7:30 and there were already 100+ people in line
How frequently does the distillery do releases? Is it a predictable schedule or just pure chance? Announced in advance? I'm hoping to work it into my next Kentucky trip since they don't distribute to Iowa at all
You’re screwed. I’ve been four times and they never had any WFE stuff. If you live nearby, word gets out quickly.
Random and gotta be VERY fast. Honestly the only "trend" I've seen year over year is they tend to do a release right around derby time (usually either Oaks or Derby day). That was rescheduled this year due to COVID so I believe this has been their first release of the year (other than a very random digital drop they had on their website one day this year).
Oh really? Didn't see you. I guess my eye was too focused on the prize. Pretty cool that we got two of the six bottles. That's how many the guy behind the counter told me they got at least.
i have one. cost me $500. retail is like 300-400 i think? secondary is 900-1500 depending on barrel quantity.
