he just got promoted to the first team today. hope we see more of this with Struber, can only help the USMNT.
There aren’t many things better in sports than watching teammates be genuinely excited for another guy’s personal achievement.
The most impressive thing to me is that NY was pushing hard for weeks to get his rights from Minnesota and then immediately threw him in the lineup when they got them. They clearly think extremely highly of him.
I have to say their media is freaking out, pressure is growing on the big clubs to start sending players to Europe but right now there's not as many buyers cause the gem is supposed to be Lainez and he has less minutes than Reyna has goals+assists. Mexico is really worried about the next 10 years
Yeah can barely get a sub appearance. They have some good players but the main clubs will not let them go
He hasn’t decided one way or the other. Still don’t think he has a Chilean passport. But we know RSL loves to create elite prospects for other national teams (see: Salcedo, C).
This kid is so damn strong. Need to get him into January camp because his brother and cousin both play for Nigeria.
He’ll never be more than a Gold Cup/Jan Camper imo but Lindsey has finally got a run at his place at RB and he looks so damn good there. Defense is elite but needs to work in his crosses.
In which good guys PV and Bob are trying to tear the system down where as BAD (and SICK) Ali Curtis argues for it because half of a damn country get funneled to him: “Why should they be locked in just because of where they live to go to a club that may or may not fit the way they play,” Bradley said. “Look around the world. Not everybody focuses on the exact same players. Not everybody plays the same way. … This is a part of growing the game in this country. We’ve got to move forward, and all these strict rules just get in the way of competition and development.” “That competition (for players) is going to make us all better,” Vermes said. “It will make the players better, the clubs better, the pro pathway better, the identification of players better.” “I grew up in New Jersey, I know kids in New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia,” Vermes said. “There are more than enough for everybody. If the New York Red Bulls are able to sign the top 20 kids in an age group, why can’t I go after kids 21 through 100? Why not? Those kids might be one of the best in my academy. Is that good for the game? Is that good for the development of players?”
yea know that + the arguments for changing the system just did not know whether KC specifically has a strong youth soccer market, per capita. Have seen you guys snag kids from other areas. But seems like lots of strong opinions on it from yalls media.
