Saw everyone posting that on prime day, my GF was trolling me about wanting one. Then she just surprised me with it for my birthday. After one use I’m a fan.
yeah a lot. Keep in mind I only spent $40 and have nothing to compare it to. It has made a huge difference in my recovery. I stretch a lot but needed to foam roll. This (for the most part) takes away the need to foam roll.
Again, mine comes tomorrow, so I havent really been able to dive into how all of this works. I know they have the classes on the app, but is there a way to do some kind of "group" rides where you can do it with friends (like a TMB group, or real life friends)? I thought for awhile in early spring I would see celebrities promoting their contests/groups, or whatever?
Currently there is not, but I’d be shocked if that is not in development. It’s just a software update away. Although you can just coordinate with friends outside the app, get on a ride together, and then filter your leaderboard to compete.
I think there are Facebook groups that do rides together. They have tags now so you can arrange rides that way I guess.
I'm going to try to do 10 minutes of core every day in November. If you have any favorite classes, please post them in here.
Did a quick 10 min test ride through the Vegas strip....really like how this rides. Feeling the burn already though since I didn’t mess with the resistance really.
Just took delivery and went for my first ride. Should there be wiggle and sliding of the clips when clipped in or should be completely tight and no movement. Basically if I pivot my foot from side to side you can see the clip move in and out.
I believe that Delta style clips are designed to allow a bit of side-to-side heel movement, I know mine do. You can adjust the float of the pedals with an Allen key. The adjustment is on the side of the pedal opposite the clips.
I use bike shorts, more forgiving. Also make sure you're sitting on your sit bones not too far fowards.
Yeah I leaned forward kind of messing around acting like I was racing to troll my GF who was watching me. Regret that.
Are they pretty easy? I’m looking for something that isn’t too taxing to do the day before legs. I had to tighten the screws on my shoes a couple times in the first week. it gets better. My ass was super sore the first week.
And just like that: https://www.pelobuddy.com/peloton-t...ur-own-group-rides-with-friends-family-teams/
they are long but don’t mess with cadence or incline too much. They are more anaerobic than aerobic. They are used more for an endurance work out. You could also just do low impact rides. Depending on how long you want to ride for. But the ones I mentioned are specifically meant to be endurance rides.
Did my first class. Just a 20min beginner with Emma. Honestly just picked the first one on the list. At times it seemed too easy, but by the end it picked up and I’m glad I did that one just to get used to riding. Definitely nice to have this thing just a couple steps away where I can hop on and go.
In a weird coincidence they just created something called “sessions” in essence you can create a group ride with friends. Actually took one today. https://www.pelobuddy.com/peloton-t...ur-own-group-rides-with-friends-family-teams/
Can also do random sessions. One popped up for Jess simms 45 min upper body bike boot camp. Put 12 of us in there together that started at same time. Was pretty cool to treat it like a race. I won going away with 371, no big deal. Full disclosure I was one of only two males.
Yeah my ride was a random thing it just popped up on my screen. I actually thought it was an encore ride before I knew what it actually was. Went balls out but unfortunately I finished 5th. Like the feature and thought about The Hebrew Husker when I took it.
It’s good to start with some beginner classes. Emma will whoop your ass in her regular classes. She’s awesome.
Yeah definitely. I’d much rather ride everyday and consider it “easy”, than push myself day 2 and be pissed because I’m too sore to ride again. I’m thinking once I get going in a week or so, I might do an easy “scenic” ride at my own pace before I shower and get going for work. Then do a real class after work where I go harder.
Did bootcamp last night so I'm planning an easy 30 while watching 6pm coverage. Will have to mute kendall.
wanted to do the new Jess bike bootcamp but decided to just do a couple rides. So good for my mental well-being right now.
Daniel Ocean if you still are in need of a ride, Kendall's mental health day ride was incredible for anxiety and stress today.
