Who is guest picker? JT Lou Holtz Jack Rodger Goodwill (angc member) Lynn Swan (lol Pac 12) The two biggest games are Michigan/Wisconsin and Bama/LSU so I'm guessing JT if it works with his tee time
No par 3 tournament and split tees Saw also that there is like 2 hours less daylight per day so split teesakes sense
My Vice balls came in today and I got to get in a quick 18 on the course this evening. I like them and couldn’t tell a difference between them and my TP5 I normally play. Distance was the same and got good spin on the greens. I’ll keep playing with them to get more data as for durability. At $15 cheaper a dozen I’m happy.
I thought for a second that was really Faldo's comment. That would have been the greatest shots fired ever.
Playing snake for the first time tomorrow. Tell me if this is correct... First person to three putt becomes the snake, ball is passed to the next person who three putts, and that continues for the round. Player holding the ball at end of round pays the other three players? What if two ppl three putt on the same hole? How do you know who becomes the snake?
Nike what have you done https://www.nike.com/w/nike-golf-sh...VIvC1Ch2qeQOlEAAYASAAEgJtVPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Shortest 3 putt is the snake. Whoever is holding the bag at the end is fucked. Its not fun. I've had 5 footers for hundreds of dollars on #18.
Appreciate that. I'm sure it can get intense. Don't think we will be playing for that type of cash, but seems like it adds some excitement to the match.
I think we’ve got a convert hear. I’ve played the last 54ish holes with the same two taylormade Tp5’s(yellow ofcourse).
Heading to Hilton Head this weekend and were told to avoid Harbour Town as there are a lot of equivalent or “better” courses in the area. I still wanted to play it but my buddies weren’t on board, since one of them has already played it. We are playing Fazio at Palmetto Dunes on Sunday, Atlantic Dunes on Monday and Berkeley Hall on Tuesday.
Harbour Town is a fun track and worth playing but there is likely better bang for your buck in the other options. I’d probably play HT again if we go back but it’s not a must hit for me
New NLU pod with Matty Kelly (Leishman’s caddie) is a must listen before next week. They go through his yardage book hole by hole for Augusta and it’s some of the best insight I’ve ever heard on the course
I like the Arthur Hills course at Palmetto Dunes better than Fazio but still a good lineup of tracks. Berkeley Hall is great
yes for sure. I’m going to be down there this weekend too for my annual buddies trip We were going to play Harbour town but it just got over seeded and we were encouraged to avoid it. the faz course is nice and wide open but seemed like it had a million bunkers.
Yep, heard the same about HT. Is Reilly’s worth the hype? Doing their lobster night Monday. What’s your course lineup for the weekend?
No, it was at the top of our list but due to tee time availability we were looking for it didn’t work out. Heard it’s awesome though.
We are playing dolphin head tomorrow and palmetto hall Sunday. We’ve played all over and have a big connection that can get us on anywhere and use that for our Saturday rounds. This year we are playing all day Saturday at Ford plantation outside of savannah. https://fordplantation.com/ I don’t know much about the dining on HH. We usually stay at my in-laws place outside of Beaufort and do a big dinner Friday night and then hit up a sports bar for the games on Saturday night. We are staying on the island this year in sea pines and Im handling the meal for us. Doing grilled oysters Rockefeller, prime ribeyes and loaded baked potatoes for our ‘champions dinner’ tomorrow night. Pretty excited about this trip, I missed another trip due to COVID and was convinced i was going to get sick this week lol.
Glad they set it up difficult today. Memorial really is a great track and the bones were already there. Doak did an incredible job and it still costs $50 to play.
In Secession this wk and my buddy's bag blew up. Never seen anything like it in my life. We think the caddie's leg pressed up against the lighter in the side pocket or something.
