Don't know what to make of that Hardy match. Don't like commentators commentating during it, especially JR seemed to say a bunch of dumb shit during it.
MJF/Jericho finish was perfect. Deletion wasn't great, just fan service. Bucks/FTR was great, Page/Omega was good. If Kingston wins, this is the best ppv AEW has done and probably best anyone has done since the pandemic.
Flipped to the football game when I saw it was in OT. But prior to final match it was quite a bit better than last AEW ppv I watched. Few minor complaints but nothing truly awful. It was a good time
Omega v Hangman was the real solid match you expect from those two I'm not an Orange Cassidy fan, that match was fine, but seemed like a TV show match. Could have cut that to make PPV shorter (went a bit long) Darby v Cody was another very solid match Women's match was meh for me Tag match was really fun. Match of the night for me. Ultimate deletion wasn't really as great as some of the other pre filmed matches I've seen and maybe the gimmick is wearing since we see more and more, but I only thought it was ok. Ran kind of long too Jericho and MJF was also solid, I just can't take Jericho seriously though anymore as I've mentioned in here before. So probably didn't like it as much as others Again missed main event to watch football game OT. Overall very good PPV. Three very good matches (sounds like four with main event based on what most are saying), nothing that was absolutely awful. Good showing
Has wwe even attempted to explain Retribution? I've skipped a lot of Raw. Questions like, why do they no longer fuck up shit? Why was there like 50 of them but now only 4 or 5? Why did they do what they did? Why they all of a sudden have dumb masks and names? If they were outcast underlooked wwe performers, why are they hiding their wwe identity? Also what happened to raw underground?
They have let Ali cut some pretty good promos. Hasn’t answered everything you asked but they have explained some items and some of the why. I also would recommend the Graves Podcast. He just had Ali on and it was pretty great. He goes into the names and masks. It kinda blew my mind.
There must have been another late rewrite because they advertised Orton on a moment of Bliss all week and he tweeted with Alexa about it. Clearly not happening
Thats the storyline. She’s going to be the lone survivor for the RAW lol or they won’t pay the storyline off and we will all move on. Still leaning on towards forget and move on but they have me interested.
You can ignore Cornette and not listen if you don't want, but man just look at the thumbnail of the video, he's doing Jericho dirty
I didn’t like AEW and never understood why most people love it so much. After finally watching one of their PPV I get it. I’m not a fan of anyone in AEW but I was interested in pretty much the entire thing. I’m a big fan of women’s wrestling I just hope they grow that brand it was the only bad match.
I do love that they are continuing the storyline of Johnny losing his title on his first defense every time.
I haven't tuned in for weekly AEW tv in some time. I checked out the PPV and I decided to tune in and out tonight to see what direction they are going post a solid PPV. I didn't mention this on Saturday because I didn't want to be a AEW hater but... JR is really tough to listen to. The Elite Deletion wasn't for me but JR just totally checked out of it and shitting on it didn't do it any favors. And tonight his non stop bitching about the weather is beyond irritating. He's become the old man yelling at clouds. /end rant
Again maybe he was just off the last two shows... but his negatives to me outweigh his positives in the booth.
I think JR has a little Cornette in him, but not to the crazy level Cornette does. I think JR thinks some of the stuff AEW does is dumb and not how the business should work old school philosophy and just doesn't sell that type of stuff. I liked the PPV but I've mentioned how it seems AEW has done more and more stupid stuff lately and it wouldn't surprise me if JR is just getting annoyed by it and is having trouble hiding his dislike of it
I guess Tony Khan heavily promoted last nights show as having an announcement that will shift the balance of power in wrestling. I really hope that's not referencing Shaq, but I dont know what else happened it could be talking about.
Kacy catanzaro the ninja warrior girl in NXT is bowling like 4 lanes down from me. She is fucking tiny
For reference, that screen she is bent over next to came up to about nipple height on her. That shit comes up to my waist. That’s how tiny she is
