I’ll be honest, I don’t care about the memory. I usually never have more than 3-4 games saved at any one time. That will probably be an annoyance for a lot of folks though.
I decided to go PC and get a PS5 sometime next year when God of War is out Do not think I will regret it
I’m pretty sure Target won’t be delivering on release day but that’s cool. By chance I took the week post release off for a vacation that was since canceled.
Same here for Amazon. Also went in and paid off my GameStop pre order yesterday to make sure everything was copacetic and should be good to go there as well. Still can't believe I managed to snag a digital. Almost nobody seemed to be able to get a digital.
I would be it’s not a “smart” move but a factor of they don’t have any to send to stores at that time.
And if you order one on the 12th, when will you get it? I'll drive to the Amazon fufillment center my self to get it day of.
I'm still hoping my Walmart order will arrive on the 12th, it says it will so fingers crossed. I bought the Miles Morales book for my son, it still doesn't have a ship date even though it releases on the 10th.
Same here. After the Christmas holiday, resellers won’t have dad’s paying $1000 for a console so I’m going to try next week and if not I’ll just get one in early 2021
Only one retailer, Walmart, has shared concrete info about when you'll be able to order the PS5 on launch day. Walmart will release PS5 stock in multiple waves on November 12: 12 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM, and 9 PM ET.
Hopefully that means Walmart knows they have more than enough stock to cover their preorders...says the guy with a Walmart PS5 preorder.
I wish Sony would SSD only has 667GB of usable space for games and apps and does not have the ability to plug in other drives for more space
I did read that all non PS5 games can be directly installed on an external, however, any PS5 game has to go on the SSD. 667gb is pushing it. Right now I have: The Show GTA Red Dead The Witcher Rogue Company Death Stranding Kingdom Come FIFA Others I’m forgetting All downloaded, that has to be around 500gb right there.
PlayStation blog says they are starting explorations underway on how to store (but not play) ps5 games from a usb drive in a future update. I don’t know how they didn’t see this shit coming. Redownloading 90GB+ games after you have seven or eight games on the console isn’t remotely feasible.
Especially a nightmare when I bounce from hotel to hotel and the speeds go from anywhere to 5mb/s to 300/400mb/s. you should be able to save the non playable game on an external and then just copy over when you want. Would still take too long for my preference, but it could be an easy fix
Also heard that demo units for in store customer use were overheating and shutting down and that also Miles Morales only plays 60FPS at 4K if you turn off Ray Tracing which I mean what’s the point then
guys, most games are well under 100gb. you will have plenty of space until a firmware update comes around.
Might help... Sony has revealed that it'll also collect data on the PS5's thermal performance and adjust the console's large 120mm cooling fan with future software updates to keep any potential heat issues in check.
PSA: Gamestop and Best Buy trade in values: PS4 Pro - $175 Xbox One X - $175 (Gamestop) $150 (Best Buy) I was originally only planning to trade-in/sell my ps4 pro, but since I use gamepass on PC now, I may trade my One X too. Can't remember the last time i turned mine on
I told my sister to be on the lookout for PS5s on release date, if she can get me one. I’ll give my PS4 Pro to my nephews. Feel like that’s a good compromise
