Cad Bane is clearly the best. The motherfucker broke into the goddamn Jedi Temple. IG-88 is fucking awesome. If we're just going by their ESB bounty hunter lineup, he clearly wins, with Dengar right behind. A crazy looking droid bounty hunter with a big-ass .50cal looking blaster? Yes! Give me more about that guy! Then his bounty hunting brethren IG-11 not only is cool, but so fucking cool, he makes Mando reconsider his whole outlook on droids. A man whose life was shaped entirely by droids genociding his town/village
You can’t use IG-11 to justify the coolness of IG-88. That’s just clown shoes analysis. 11 had to get entirely reprogrammed to not suck ass.

Just finished Thrawn: Ascendancy. Loved it. Great world building in wild space and as usual Thrawn is awesome.
Spoiler Episode 2 was a nothing episode though. Nothing happened. Except maybe the encounter with the new republic being something to build off of in the future. Usually we stop spoilering on mondays right?
I’m on the “it’s a space western it'll have these episodes” team. Sometimes the good guy just has to save a damsel and her jar of eggs. It won’t be long till everyone’s flipping their shit because Rex and Ahsoka get reunited.

Its a western set in space. Favreau has been saying it since day one. Pick any of 100 westerns as an example.
The entire episode was about him further developing his parental instincts solid character development that I think will pay off further into the series

old mando probably wouldn’t have helped frog lady, but could emotionally connect due to also having his lived experience of being a parent, also the theme of parental protection with the momma spider in addition, his evolution of being a better person paying off with the new republic guys acknowledging it and saving his ass So I suppose to me it was both payoff and development
The stuff with the new republic was an advancement of the plot, but it wasn’t much. This was mostly a throw away episode. Or the first half of an episode or something. The first episode of this season was better than this one.
