I’m sure this thing is gonna kick ass and be worth every penny, just feels like the release date was reactionary to the Xbox and Sony needed a little more time
I wouldn't get too picky on storage for now. The new Samsung 980 PRO 1TB is comparable (stat wise) to the internal SSD of the PS5. It's $230 just for the 1TB stick. We are getting roughly that size storage in a $500 console. Pretty good iyam
I think the overheating consoles in store were in the plastic display cases. I also have read that the internal m.2 expansion slot isn’t active yet, so can’t use it until an update. No 1440p output for...reasons. This is all classic Sony.
sure, but that would have put the price closer to 700. going with the minimum and allowing upgrades gets the console in the hands of more consumers. even if its going to need a firmware update to support it.

You can do trade ins at Best Buy. I’m looking to unload an Xbox one x and switch plus controllers and games for the switch. I’m giving my PS4 pro away. I can just take my shit up to them? I’m not really interested in GameStop and would rather give them away or keep if it’s GameStop I’m trading into.
You are correct here, the article I saw about an overheating PS5 had it in a box with no airflow, every review I've seen has talked about the really cool temps and lack of noise, I doubt its a problem. The internal expansion slot will be active, Sony just hasn't turned it on because it hasn't certified any other SSD drives. They want players to use SSD's that match the speed of the one they created for the system, or it will hurt performance, so once they have drives that can match the throughput of their drive they will turn it on and folks can go for it. As for the no support of 1440p, it makes no sense, that's definitely Sony Being Sony
I pre-ordered a PS5 from Target a while back and got a confirmation email but the charges never hit my credit card. Expected for that to happen today and it hasn't, nor have I got a shipping email. Hope they didn't cancel my order and just not tell me.
its free games each month so i'd do it just for that. especially if you skipped ps4 because the ps plus collection
PS Plus is online + some savings + 2 free games a month. PS Now is similar to Xbox Game Pass with a way shittier library. You pay $9.99 for access to maybe 10 good games
ps now is sony's really terrible game pass "equivalent". the pricing is far better than it used to be and may be worthwhile if its been a long time since you owned a ps console. ps plus is the "xbox live" which comes with multiplayer and a few free games each month. additionally, if you have a ps5, you get access to the ps plus collection which is a just a number of games from ps4 era that can be played for free (with plus, of course). i'll leave that list in a spoiler below. personally, what i would do is lget plus then look through the ps now library and see if theres anything there i'd want to play that isn't included in the ps plus collection. if so, get a year of it when you have nothing else to play. Spoiler Bloodborne Days Gone Detroit: Become Human God of War Infamous Second Son Ratchet and Clank The Last Guardian The Last of Us Remastered Until Dawn Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Batman: Arkham Knight Battlefield 1 Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Fallout 4 Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition Monster Hunter: World Mortal Kombat X Persona 5
so will get PS+ and then probably just buy old games i want to play off the store, haven't had a playstation since 3 so lots of games to catch up on https://slickdeals.net/f/14524346-1...mbership-digital-delivery-27-99?src=frontpage dunno if this has been posted but seems cheap
Yup no reason to ever pay full price for Xbl/PS+ Just make sure to have auto renew turned off in your account settings
yeah there's so many online sales these days that there's no reason to pay full price unless its something you can't possibly wait on.
Everybody needs to play Kingdom Come Deliverence if you haven’t already. $30 and it’s right up there with the Witcher and ES series
Website says right around 50 hours, but I’m probably 10 hours in and feel like I’ve accomplished nothing except learning the mechanics
Just messing. You said it was like Witcher. There's boobs in the game. I was asking if this one did as well.
Usually I would catch that. None so far, but there’s some interesting relationships brewing I feel like.
Kingdom Come isn’t as pretty but it has so much more to do in it but I am also in the top 1% of FF haters so I might not be the best person
Depends, kingdom come is a legit medieval game with no fantasy. I did like final fantasy the one time I played it, but KCD is like Elder Scrolls without the Dragonborn and magical shit
The art style is growing on me, it’s not graphically impressive, but the towns/villages are bustling, the landscapes look realistic, it’s just a great RPG minus the outdated graphics
A tip for those that are going to try to get a PS5 when Walmart puts additional stock up on Thursday. Get your shipping, billing, and credit card info entered ahead of time. Delete all of the irrelevant addresses and cards so you know what it will default to. Add something else to your cart ahead of time and checkout with it if you manage to get the console into the cart. Get your confirmation and then cancel the superfluous item if you don’t need it. I didn’t know that prior to the Xbox fiasco today and have seen numerous people mention that worked for them.
I bought a PS5 controller from target and didn't get charged for it until a couple weeks ago when they shipped it. Not trying to scare you, but they may have pre-sold and are charging once they get the unit to cover their ass.
Just looked it up. I wanted to play Shadow of War , but realized I had traded it in years ago. Excited to play it again. I really like the Chiefs progression in that game.
