If I was ever wondering ifMrs Delta was perfect for me, for our first marriage anniversary she got me a chocolate box that spells "I Love Your Penis"
Us at a hotel: Me waking up: hey babe, did my charger come loose? My phone is only on 40% Her: oh yeah the green light where you plug the USB in was very bright so I unplugged your phone to see if it turned off but it didn’t. Me: so you didn’t plug my phone back in then? Her: no, I went back to sleep
I do most of the cooking in my house. As of late, I've been doing a lot of smoking on the kamado (new toy), and as such, have been probing many various meats checking for internal temperatures, even using a digital thermometer that I can check via an app on my phone. I explained to the wife that different proteins are cooked to different temperatures; ribeyes, for example, are usually cooked to 135 degrees fahrenheit, while chicken is cooked to 165 degrees. She had never used a meat thermometer before. Last night she proudly announced that she was making chicken for dinner as I had made dinner the previous three nights. I told her I'd make a kale salad when the chicken was close to done. Hour or so later I checked in to see if it was time for me to make the salad, but she told me the chicken wasn't close to done. I came back 15 minutes later and she was probing the chicken. I asked her if it was almost done and she said no. I glanced over at the probe and saw a reading that was over 200 degrees. Me: "I thought you said it wasn't close to ready? You've overcooked it." Her: "What are you talking about? It's not even close to 265 degrees!"
It's our 1st anniversary and since year one is the "paper" anniversary I got her a custom picture of us made out the lyrics from the song played at our wedding. She started crying because she thought what I got her was better than what she got me. What did she get me you ask? A box of chocolates that spell out "I Love Your Penis" I told her she was being an idiot and that's one of the best presents I've ever received.
Depends on how it was cooked and how long it was at those temps. In the oven that thing is gonna be dusty, but you can fry or cook in a pan and get it to 200 without it being too bad.
my yard currently looks like this My wife refuses to let the kids go outside without sunscreen. Sunset is in less than an hour. (Since it’s apparently not apparent, the yard is completely shaded). I’ve made a lot of contributions to this thread, but this is up there on the insanity factor.
he doesn’t want to put sunscreen on his kids because of laziness. This is one of these rare instances where the woman is right.
If you are fair skinned sun screen is important in certain situations but needing it to go outside for a few minutes when it's not sunny outside is a bit much.
yeah, I understand why it might be a discussion but it’s not one I would fault the woman for or even lose any energy on. Just put it on them and go back to being happy. i can see both sides
it’s dark as fuck outside here right now and it’s been dark for at least an hour. This time of the year up here is depressing as fuck, especially without snow
I am not going outside but I still put some on after my shower, the lights are on in the house so better be careful than sorry
Wife and I have been together over 10 years Every year at Thanksgiving since 1997, I have helped my uncle smoke many turkeys for tailgate. 12 is the smallest # I can remember doing, we did 19 last year. She just started questioning my recipe and method for smoking the one bird I am doing at the house this year
My fucking secretary at work claims she used to run a kitchen "for 10 years" or some shit she starts talking about every fucking time I'm usually just like, 'ok, so did you send that email? Ok, why didn't you CC me?"
Sorry tylerdolphin I didn't mean that to be a shot at your wife or anything Just my "administrative assistant" always brings that shit up when she thinks she knows what is wrong with a walk in freezer in a kitchen in a 100 million dollar building we built, and it digs at me a bit
No problem, I didn't take it that way. I figured in that context she was kind of a "well, actually" person on things out her depth. My wife's job has its perks for me. She does 75% of the cooking for us and it's really good. But we also call someone who knows about freezers if we have trouble with a freezer.
